Let’s just say I’ve been going to this salon since the 6th grade (going on 11 years old) & I’m now turning 22. You do the math. The only time you’ll see me going to a different salon would be on a Sunday since this salon is closed on Sundays. Yes, they do a great job at styling but their attitudes are terrible. The owner, Noelia will not style you unless your hair is “easy” to do; meaning naturally straight or short. She will sit there & watch your dryer go off, refuse to do you or wait for a worker to finish a task & do you. Her main worker, Joselyn (goes by the nickname Josie) does most of the work in there, although her attitude is the worst. On 3/31, day before Easter, I got the usual: a wash & set, blow dry & flat iron. I also got my ends trimmed since I wore braids the previous month. I asked to get my eyebrows done & I can’t even tell you the amount of times I’ve gotten my eyebrows done by this place. They do wax only. Josie did my brows & she would ALWAYS start with my left brow first, right brow & then do my unibrow. The moment she did my right brow, I remember the wax being hotter than usual. It was so hot that tears formed in BOTH eyes. When she was done, she applied cream to prevent itching, infection, etc. The next morning when I woke up, my skin had a dark bruise from the wax! This was Easter morning; how was I suppose to attend church with this bruise on my eye? I had to apply makeup over the burn & even that didn’t cover it fully. I went to the salonTuesday, Noelia told me that my skin is too sensitive and that it’s NO BIG DEAL. Her & Josie didn’t even want to acknowledge me. How is it sensitive to it if it’s the SAME wax as always & this isn’t the 1st, 2nd, or 50th time? I wanted a refund & they refused. They acted nonchalant towards the fact that my skin was burned & that a mark was left on it for 3 weeks. I will never step foot in this salon again, no matter how long I’ve been going here. Their attitudes changed for the worst after a few years.
