For Christmas I asked my family to get me massage gift certificates at Rody's. Rody's front counter staff sold them at both $50 and $60 for an hour-long massage, that was the first sign of a problem but I was grateful for the gifts my family had given me. The first time I used a $50 certificate I received a past due notice in the mail, a month later, for $10 despite having a credit on my account. You would think if more money were due they would A) Tell me when I gave them the certificate, B) simply deduct it from the existing credit on my account. This is when I learned that the massages would all be $60 despite what they told my family. The sloppy accounting was a red flag, but I still had certificates left. When I went to use the last certificate the massage therapist called in "sick" after the scheduled appointment time of 2pm, the day after Christmas. It became apparent that the office staff knew she was thinking about calling in sick but never verified. I had taken the day off work and planned the entire day around this appointment. Rody's solution: reschedule or take a refund. I opted for the refund.



While the chiropractors and massage therapist I've seen at Rody's have all been great the office staff is incompetent at best. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

Have no consideration for people's time



Dr. Gordon is a great chiropractor whom I have gone to for years, however I've had to find a new office simply because they have no consideration for people's time. If you call and say you want to come at a certain time, where it isn't so busy, they will just plug you in wherever they want. The front desk staff does not care about the request for a less busy time. The place is packed and the wait can be 45 min to an hour, easy, on any given day, and that's before they put you in a room, where you get to wait some more. I've seen secretaries let family members, friends, frequesnt flier customers go ahead of you on the list and let them go back first. They probably see, I'm going to guess 30-40 people an hour. WAY too much. Think of them as the fast food of chiropractic. They are about mass serving the population and literally spend under 2 minutes with each person. Now with the atlas orthogonal technique you have to get adjusted one day, then come back the next day to adjust your back. This means TWO co-pays AND it means you need to allow 1.5 hours each day to come in for a visit. Ridiculous. At my new chiropractor, he only see's 4 patients total an hour, spends time with you asking questions, and does the atlas technique on the same day, with almost no waiting room time. That's how it should be.

Dr.Doug Rody is a miracle worker. Short & sweet. I started over a year ago hobbling in with a cane & in constant pain. I now walk my dogs with ease. I have nothing but high praise for the front desk as well. It is very easy to get appointments. They are open early & late hours and get you in quickly. If I had any complaint at all it is only that they don't call to remind you of an appointment & I've missed a couple by forgetting, but they're all worth their weight in gold to me!
