LaSalle Bakery

Worst customer service. Would not recommend this bakery under any circumstances! I used to frequent this bakery years ago when I lived in RI. They were wonderful back then. I don't believe they are under same mgmt. as the owners were just as rude (John & Alice) as the young girls there. One in particular (Lauren) who was too busy chatting w/ friends & braiding her hair behind the counter while I waited to pick up a special order cake. Which by the way was not what was ordered, while she barked loudly at me in front of other customers... I know what we ordered & this wasn't it. In the end we picked up a cake at Stop & Shop which was perfect & they went out of their way to make it just the way we wanted! The only good thing that came out of this was the laugh everyone got when the boys...the graduates...tossed the LaSalle cake in the trash that day! Honestly it was that awful looking! The boys said it looked like an old lady cake...which it did! It was a last minute order & if they couldn't do it they should have said so. Instead I was told afterward "since it was last min. you got what we had left in back" that coming from "Lauren" & both owners! Worst of all no one ever offered an apology, or tried to fix it. NOTHING!

MY ADVICE: NEVER STEP FOOT INTO THIS BAKERY!!!

I will make it my mission in life that everyone I ever come in contact with will become aware of the exceptionally poor customer service @ LaSalle Bakery in Providence, RI.
