Don't judge the book by its cover

Yes, the clinic is not a typical clinic. It was awkward at first, but then I realized that they only do what is necessary and not rip you off with useless services. My dog got neutered. The vet was surrounded by students (which I did not mind) learning how to perform the surgery. He did a wonderful job! My dog is doing great after a year now. My dog continues to receive services with this vet. They are very diverse and some people get insulted by it which is sad. Mr. Baker is old and sick and cannot provide excellent service anymore, but still good :) He will be missed!!!

great vet

He is very affordable and will work with you. He dis surgery on tucker he was on his death bed kept him 3 days. Saved our tuckers life, he also spayed and neutered 3 of our dogs. Very cheap. He is an all around nice guy and mrs. Becky in the office is just the sweetest.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE all of y...

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE all of you that have had bad experiences with this quack...please report him in writing to the tx. vet board. we all need to make sure he gets his license taken away. his office is filthy it is a no-brainer why pets die from infection. he is way behind in new info on technique as well as meds. i used him once for 2 pets. he caused my dog to get his heart meds 3 days late. he does not know that there are heart meds that need to be used together to get the best results. he says it is too much medicine. he just has no clue. he is the worst, and this is an honest statement...i feel he got into vet school because of minority status. they needed a black man to balance the books! i am so glad that minority status does not apply anymore. THIS IS A PERFECT REASON IT DOES NOT WORK AND IT IS DANGEROUS! PLEASE REPORT YOUR EXPERIENCE, AND GET THIS QUACK OUT OF HERE!

Do NOT go to this vet!

We took a got in to be neutered on Tuesday morning. The said it would be $300 and we could pick him up that afternoon. They preformed blood tests we never authorized. The did not neuter him on Tuesday, so we said forget it, we will just pick him back up. Oh no, they could do it on Wednesday morning. Wednesday at 5:00 pm they had still done absolutely NOTHING that we asked for. Thank God we picked our goat up before this quack actually operated on him.

Spaying of Female dog

I followed the instructions of our Waller County Animal control officer and rescued a stray that had been dumped on our land.

The Animal control offcer set up a spay appt. for me at Baker Clinic for a very... very low cost.

They spayed my dog whom I had grown very attached to and she died from an infection.

Time is of the essence when a creature is dying.

My pet goat was dying from a diagnosis of "pneumonia" and I don't feel that this veterinarian applied any effort toward a thorough treatment plan. He arrived at my home on Thursday around 2pm, listened to his breathing gave my goat a few shots, charged $150, then told me that I would have to drive to his office the next day for the rest of the antibiotics. I arrived at his office the following day around 11 am, he was gone to lunch. His office help had no knowledge of what medicines I needed, and Dr. Baker was not answering his phone, so I was told to try coming back in an hour. I went back in an hour to find that still there was no medicine for me to rush home to my dying animal. I had to leave to get my children from school. When I arrived at his office again for the 3rd time that day, he was sitting with his office help discussing a call that had come in earlier and that went on for five minutes before he ever acknowledged my presence. Finally, he got the medicine, which, was 1 gram of Naxcel, to be administered once a day and the prescribed dosage was 3cc. My goat can't stand, my goat wont eat or drink, he has scours, he may or may not have a fever we don't know because he didn't check, but he was still holding on to his desire to live. I would have done anything to save that goat, and I would have spent any amount of money to heal him. He didn't suggest anything else for my goat, and when I asked him whether or not he could give me something else in addition to the antibiotic that would help the goat to feel better-he gave me a few bottles of Amino Acids and a $65 bill. My goat had to be euthanized on Sunday (not by him).

Having the medicine ready for me the next day would have been a step in the right direction to at least appearing concerned.
