Knox Gold Exchange

My first visit there after reading the reviews and I must say that LeAnne went out of her way to meet with me after store hours. She was very nice and knowledgeable. She took her time going over the pieces I brought in and gave me an excellent information. No pressure, no gimmicks. Just honesty. Better pay than any pawn shop around and more personal touch. If I could give negative stars I would. I have had a horrible experience here. I dropped my $2000 ring off here to be sized down on Thursday the 22nd of March I was told it would be a week so I call the following Thursday on the 29th, the person that answered the phone couldn't give me any info and told me to call back the following day so I called the following day (Friday) when I called I was told the jeweler had to go to a funeral in Orlando so my ring would not be ready until the following Monday April 2nd so I call Monday and was told again my ring isn't done it will be done that Wednesday April 4th. I call Wednesday morning and was told I could pick my ring up from 3pm-4pm so I get there right at 3pm and when I get there I was told the lady didn't have access to the safe to get my ring and the jeweler wouldn't be back until around 430 so I leave go pick up my 5 kids from school waited then loaded my 5 kids back up into the car and went back when I got there at 430 no one was there and no one would answer the door (you have to be buzzed in) finally the lady came walking up from across the street at 445 so I went in she called this jeweler again who was not there and then tried to tell me the jeweler would not be there until Friday and I could pick my ring up then. She then tried to tell me the jeweler was waiting on a part for a ring but was not sure if she was talking about my ring or not at this point I told them I did not want them to do any work to my ring I wanted my ring back and set up an appointment to pick it up the next day (today) which is Thursday. I am suppose to pick it up at 12 so we will see. I have already contacted a different jeweler that is waiting for me and can have my ring sized and back to me by the end of today. I have talked to numerous people that have used this jeweler including my grandmother and they have all had the same problem. I will also be getting my diamonds checked by the high end jewelery store my husband purchased the ring from and should have took it to in the first place the only reason I did not is Knox gold exchange is right beside my house and was convenient. Will never return here and would suggest anyone and everyone to drive the extra mile to take your beloved jewelery somewhere else. As I'm looking at other reviews (which I should have done first) it looks like this place doesn't focus on being an actual jewelery shop they focus on just buying gold from you. Went by there to see if anyone was there yet hoping the "jeweler" would get there before noon so I can take my ring to a good jeweler and no one is there. It is 10:12 hours say they open at 10am.
It is now 10:30 still no one here.

I went to buy a gun at the other store and I had some jewelry I wanted to sell so the guy sent me over to this place for the jewelry part. They were just as wonderful as the gun place that recommended me and I didn't find out until later that the same people own it. No wonder it was such a pleasant experience. I will be recommending both places to everyone I know that needs guns, or that needs to sell their jewelry or coins.

Knox Gold Exchange was very friendly and very knowledgable in regards to gold and diamonds. They offered me a great price on my gold and also appraised a ring for me on the fly. Very grateful.
