Horrible customer service. Rude. So rude I cancelled my order (and they gave me a hard time about it!)

They took my order and charged my credit card and three weeks later, two days before Christmas, told me that they could not fulfill my order for my Christmas gift for my grand daughter. Terrible company, do not do business with them.

It makes me sick to give this business even one star, but since zero stars is not an option I guess I have no choice.
I emailed Northern Ice and Dance before placing my order to determine shipping timeframe. I was promised free shipping in 5 business days within the state of New York. That worked perfectly as I needed the dress within 8 business days in order to decorate it in time for my daughter's competition, so I placed the order and Northern Ice and Dance charged the sale price to my credit card. When the dress had not arrived after 6 business days I emailed the owner (Cassie) to find out where the dress was. She was very evasive and said she needed to check with the manufacturer and would get back to me. I reminded her of our time constraints and she told me if I needed it in a rush I would have to pay a drop ship charge of $25.00! This was six business days AFTER she promised me I would have the dress within five business days! I told her I was not going to pay an additional fee after this delay when it was clearly not my fault the dress had not yet arrived. I asked her to to get back to me as soon as possible the next morning after she talked with the manufacturer. Cassie did not respond the next morning, so I emailed her again and asked her whether she had spoken with the manufacturer. She did not respond. I called the manufacturer directly and asked about my order. They told me they had been having a problem putting the charge through on Northern Ice and Dance's account, so my order had never been placed and the dress had never been shipped. I was also told that Cassie of Northern Ice and Dance was well aware of this -- clearly she never indicated any of this to me. The customer service rep for the manufacturer was wonderful, and at this point I was willing to pay for the dress a second time just so I could get it on time and I would deal with Northern Ice and Dance later. Fortunately, the manufacturer was willing to try to put the charge through on Northern Ice and Dance's account again, and this time it went through. The manufacturer offered to ship the dress directly to me via FedEx ground at no cost to me -- wonderful! The dress is now on a FedEx truck on its way to my house, and I will have it today -- TEN business days later. When I spoke with the manufacturer this morning he told me this is commonplace when dealing with Northern Ice and Dance, and after reviewing many comments I've seen on the internet over the past few days it is clear this woman is unprofesssional, nasty and not someone you want to do business with. I should have looked for these reviews before giving her my money, but lesson learned. Never, ever again! I'm sure she'll respond here with some sort of nasty comment about me (apparently that's her routine with negative reviews), but so be it. Those looking for reviews on her will see that that's her style -- attack the customer and admit no culpability whatsoever for her unprofessional behavior. Bring it on, lady. You and I both know that every word I've written here is the truth.

There are several very incorrect points above but I am not going to debate the situation with you in this forum. I am sorry that you were unhappy with my service and I am glad that Jerry's was able to get your dress to you in time. They are my top vendor and I stand behind their products and service. I hope the performance was a success.

I ordered some merchandise the day after Thanksgiving and paid. About a week later, E-mail says one of the merchandise is not available, no other info. Days later after that, e-mail says "processing". Asked nicely initially to update on status but no response. A more firm email later (desperate for a response given holiday season fast approaching), I finally get a response saying Cancelled! 12 days before Christmas! The owner had the merchandise all this time after several unwanted e-mail! This was the second time this store failed me, one for a birthday and now Christmas! UNRELIABLE!
Accusations made by this human are inaccurate. This customer paid via Paypal. I have no direct control of Paypal payments. The money is withdrawn from your bank/credit card account when you send it. This customer was notified of the backorder of this product 2 weeks before Christmas. Backorders happen, especially around the Holidays, and are no fault of any given retailer. At no time did I have the merchandise in question in my possession. This customer was beligerent, rude, insulting and extreme in her reactions. She is a retail nightmare and will continue to plague the retail community. Customer X, cease and desist in your defamation or you will find yourself in court. Northern Ice
