I hired this service 12 years ago when my mom could no longer take care of herself and she wanted to stay in her own home. Maid to Perfection has been instrumental in taking care of her cleaning every two weeks so she can still be independent and in control of her life. Thanks for all the hard work.

I recently purchase a deal off of Living Social for 3,000 square feet of housecleaning for $79, thinking I could trust Maid to Perfection to do the move-out cleaning on my 2,200 square foot rental home after I moved out. I stopped by the house last night to double check their work, and had I not checked under my door mat to find that they had taken the Living Social Coupon I had left, I never would have known they had been in my home and done some "cleaning"
The cleaning staff cleaned my sinks, toilets and ovens and vacuumed the master bedroom. They failed to clean any crumbs off of the kitchen countertops, clean the window sills, dust the blinds and baseboards, sweep or mop the floors or even vacuum the rest of the house for that matter! The best part is that the maid threw her dirty cleaning rags on my carpet and left them there. Now, at 8 months pregnant, I have to go back to the house and crawl around on the floor scrubbing baseboards and vacuuming before the carpet cleaners come out tomorrow, this is something that should have been included in the full housecleaning I purchased!
I should have held out and purchased the $48 Groupon for 3 hours of Bright Maid cleaning that was available today, because Maid to Perfection CLEARLY did non spend even 3 hours cleaning my house yet I paid $30 more for their services. Just because a business is discounting their price on Living Social or Groupon does not mean that they should do a lazy job.
I called last night and demanded that someone come back out and at least vacuum or refund my money...we'll see how far that goes.
I apologize for your experience with our company. There was a failure on our part to clearly communicate our intentions with living social regarding the deal. We wanted to offer a limited time deal of 3 hours of cleaning with our maids for 1.5 hours each. Living social made it an "up to a 3000 sq ft house" which is an amount of time that cannot be translated into a specific period of time as the amount of cleaning able to be accomplished in a given time varies depending on the condition and size of the house. Move out cleans typically start at 4 hours of cleaning (2 hours per maid) and move up from there as there is more to do in a move out clean than normal. Even though a house is vacant - drawers, cabinets, window sills, doors, baseboards, and all surfaces need to be cleaned so the time for a move out clean is typically longer than a normal house clean. In your case we spent a significant of time picking up the garbage left - including pizza and pizza boxes strewn on the floors before even getting to cleaning. We expect that it would be pretty difficult to satisfy a customer who threatens us both through email and on the internet via reviews before we've had a chance to even respond to their requests or demands, as in this case. As the saying goes, it is often easier to catch flies with honey than vinegar. We would be happy to post your emails to us here on Yelp if you would like an example of what we mean by vinegar. Sincerely, Bao Chang, Owner and General Manager, Maid To Perfection Portland

The MtP that serviced my cleaning request works out of th Sw Pacific Highway office (11650 South West Pacific Highway # A, Portland, OR 97223 ).
The cleaning took place on a Friday morning after a move-out and the day after a "green" flea treatment. It was left in a pretty clean state, but the flea treatment company recommended a cleaning 24 hours after the treatment.
The estimate was for a total of 6 hours (3 hours per worker). Apparently, they were sending two to complete the job.
The MtP web site indicated a cleaning list is provided. I enumerated what I wanted done over the phone, essentially that I wanted the place vacuumed and everything, including the tops of the cabinets to be dusted, and the bathrooms cleaned.
The contractors arrived without a list, so I repeated what I communicated on the phone.
I checked on the work at the two hour mark and found one ledge that was overlooked for dusting. I found out after they left that they either neglected to dust the venetian blinds, or did a very poor job of cleaning them.
I communicated my displeasure to a company rep on Monday and I was told that had I called on Friday, the workers would have been sent back on their own dime and time to make it right. I figured if they really wanted to correct the situation, and ensure they had contented clients, they would have made good on the work anyway. I chalked off this experience as another learning opportunity when dealing with contractors.
This review is outdated. Since this time the company has changed location and management. Thank you.
