Eco Car Wash

Their "economy wash" is $3.80 now. I've used them a few times when it was $3.00, but I stopped going after I learned about their false advertising.



On their webpage, http://www.ecocarwash.com/faqs.htm as well as the sticker on their toll booth displays they accept credit cards.



When I tried to pay with my MasterCard, they made up their own rule that credit card payment is only accepted for their overpriced "Triple Polish Plus". They took it that time, but told me I need to pay cash for economy wash in the future.



Section 9.12.3 of MasterCard bylaws states that "A merchant must not require, or post signs indicating that it requires, a

minimum or maximum transaction amount to accept a valid MasterCard card." VISA & AMEX has the same rule as well.



Since they're telling customers credit card is only accepted for their higher priced product, they're in a direct violation of VISA, MC & AMEX policies.



They exhibit VISA, MC sticker, but refuse to honor all valid cards in accordance with VISA/MC policies, therefore the advertisement "VISA MC accepted" is false.



I discussed this matter with the manager, but he completely ignored the policy and said "the bank charge us a fee, therefore we have the right to limit credit card to whatever service we want"
