De Angelo's Catering & Events

De Angelo's Catering is fine if one isn't too picky and is rather casual. The food was good, but the execution of the party was lacking. Some concerns were as follows: 1) Before my party had begun, the beautiful tables had huge water stains all over them where the waiters had sloppily filled the water classes. (Learning how to fill glasses without pouring it all over the tables would seem to be very basic. If one can't pour, pick the glass up and fill it away from the table.) One guest said that one of the servers actually overfilled her glass twice. 2) The servers need to have a clean classy way that they present themselves on the day of the event -- especially when it is a formal event. They need to fit into the surroundings. 3) The food table was decorated with cheap old floral tablecloths which worked against the color and decor of the room. I can't believe that they thought the table cloths were correct for a formal event or that they went with the color scheme. Furthermore, it was noted by someone that the tablecloths did not go all the way to the ground -- which was another eyesore. 4) The final concern of mine is truly upsetting because we could have been fined by the room rental. The head server cut the cake horribly. At her feet where she stood was cake smashed into the carpet in such a way that we had to get down on our knees after our party and try to clean it up by hand. My word! The floor was carpetted with clean brand new carpet. Who does this??? Did the cake cutter think that it was okay to just throw bits of cake onto the floor, stepping on it? Bottom line? If you're having an event outside and don't care about the details, that's fine. Otherwise, look for someone else.
