Artistic Landscapes

This is our second time using Artistic Landscapes for our backyard remodel. Again, they exceeded our expectations. Robert and his crew installed blended soil throughout our entire backyard. Then, they added two new sod lawns. They spread barkdust on our entire property and applied pre emergent to our shrub beds. Lastly, they added 9 large boulders as a decorative feature throughout the backyard. The crew worked quickly and efficiently to get the project done in a timely manner. Robert has a eye for landscape and is great about working with a budget. We really appreciated the fact that he was always on hand to oversee the work being done. He also was in constant contact with us during the week and finished on time. All of the members of his crew were polite and hard working. We were so pleased with the outcome that we will be using them for our weekly maintenance. We highly recommend this company for all your landscape needs!

Absolutely Amazing!

My husband and I had a massively overgrown yard, so we needed a major cleanup. Trees, shrubs, blackberry, everything overgrown to an embarassing degree. Way too much work and haulage for us to tackle on our own.

Robert and his team were absolutely amazing and gave us a completely transformed yard that we can use again.

We were so impressed that everything was completed on time (only 2 days), and they are very hard working. The yard was even swept up and kep very tidy overnight.

We would highly recommend them for all types of yard work and will gladly contract with them in the future.

To sum it up in a few word, WOW!! Robert, Sarah, and their crew were a pleasure to work with, professional, and caring. Robert always communicated well with us regarding scheduling, questions, suggestions, and our satisfaction. Sarah's design is just perfect, and incorporated all of our hopes for our yard. The finished project is simply beautiful! We would highly recommend Artistic Landscapes for maintenance, design and installation-they are great folks!

Our yard was looking very neglected and we wanted to get something less maintenance intensive. Our todo list included tree/stump removal, all grass and weeds removed, installation of a dry riverbed, new trees/bushes, split rail and and relocation of most of our plants. Robert and his team (very wonderful folks) worked solid every day that they were here. At the end of each day they swept and power washed the sidewalk and driveway. The end result more than exceeded our expectations. I will definitely use Robert again for my back yard.

The Job: Remove rotting railroad ties that were our builders cheap solution to leveling our back yard. Install Keystone Wall instead and level the back yard. Install paver patio. Edge patio with barkdust/plants.



The Crew: Robert and his crew (ranging from 2-3 workers depending on the day) showed up on time every day. They worked steadily through the day. They cleaned up the tools and supplies and whole area nightly. They were friendly and very hard working.



Price: Robert was very flexible in giving me a variety of bids depending on exactly what I wanted done. He stuck with his price and was very professional.



End Results: LOVE IT! Just what I was hoping for. Nicely finished and done in a quality way!



I would recommend them to anyone and would use them again for sure.

Landscape contractors beware; Artistic Landscape is setting a new high bar for quality and reliability!



My wife and I have been planning/designing our backyard renovation for about two years and we were very apprehensive about finding a reliable Landscape Contractor that could reposition an old straight backyard retaining wall and sculpt a new curving retaining wall and level the back and side yards for patio tile, pavers, and artificial turf. This would be no small task because our backyard is challengingly with its narrow, uphill side access points.



However, from the moment we met Robert Kinsey, owner of Artistic Landscape, at our initial meeting to estimate the project; he was all about meeting our needs. Robert listened intently and actually made notes of our concerns and vision, paraphrased his understanding our goals for confirmation, and offered straightforward, practical solutions for our particular job site and project phasing. Artistic Landscape’s estimate was very competitive and easy to understand. We actually selected a time and materials option, which my wife and I feel was a far better option for us as we were also able to simultaneously complete about six other of my ‘honey do’ projects while still remaining under our originally agreed-upon total project cost and time frame.



From our initial estimate meeting through the on-time, on-budget completion of our project, Artistic Landscape (Robert Kinsey and his amazing crew) has been professional yet personal, efficient yet thorough, and completely accurate and honest.



There is no doubt in our mind, that the next phase our back yard renovation will be completed by Artistic Landscape!

From the start, Robert was incredibly enthusiastic about wanting to not only do some landscaping, but to realize our vision for the yard. His original quote was about $1000 higher, but he worked with us to make a few changes to get the cost down. He communicated with us about the schedule. He and his crew arrived exactly on time the first day. We did not stay home during the job, but saw the progress each evening. When they left each evening, the driveway, walkways and surrounding areas were cleaned. Some materials needed to be left in the street (boulders and river rock) over the weekend - and were marked appropriately for safety. Overall, the entire job took 4 days plus stopping by for a preparatory spraying of the yard a couple weeks prior.



When we arrived home the final day we had one word ... "WOW!". The final layout of everything looked incredible. I have a feeling that even though we negotiated a lower price, Robert still went the extra mile and gave us a yard definitely worth more than the total on the invoice. He was just as thrilled in showing us the completed project as we were to see it. I would definitely have Robert do our back yard when the time comes.

WHAT A GREAT COMPANY!! I was extremely satisfied with the service of Artistic Landscapes. Robert and his employees were on time, friendly, capable, worked quickly and very reasonably priced. Robert had some good ideas and offered helpful advice. My yard is beautiful!!

Choose this company! We had them come and do work in our front and back yard. Our back yard had a terrible drainage problem. They dug up all the old grass, brought in new soil, and sloped the yard for better drainage. We had brick pavers installed all around the grass, new plants put in, mulch in all the planting areas, new river rock brought in and then the lawn was re-seeded. The front had brick pavers around the lawn, and several plants were installed. All existing areas were cleaned and freshened up. The yard looks great!

Artistic Landscapes came out for an estimate the next day after I called them for an idea on how much a retaining wall in my backyard was going to cost. Was surprised to find how cheap they were compared to the estimates I had received previously.



When the day came for the project to start, Robert and his crew showed up early in the read to roll. Equipped with all the tools they needed to do the job, they knocked out the wall in no time, managing to finish fairly early in the afternoon. They even went above and beyond the expected job and helped level out a part of the backyard with the left over soil/dirt of the retaining wall.



No doubt about it, will go back to this company for any future landscaping needs.

We've had Artistic Lanscapes do a number of projects, including brick walkways out front, demolition of an existing wooden deck and replacement with flagstones, creation of a berm with a rock wall, and regular maintenance. Bob is super-professional, ALWAYS leaves the site immaculate at the end of each day, and does everything possible to ensure your satisfaction. I can't recommend him highly enough, and I wouldn't hesitate to pick him for our next project.

This company is great! They pay close attention to detail and are very hardworking. I have had them doing mainetenance on my yard for over a year and I am still impressed with the wonderful work that they do each visit. Whenever I have a special request, like planting flowers or transplanting shrubs, they always get it done and often at very little extra charge. I would recommend Artistic Landscapes to anyone who is looking for a dependable and consistent landscape maintenance company!

Artistic Landscapes just completed a job for me and I am extremely happy with the outcome. From when Robert came out to give me a bid, to the completion of the job, I have only good things to say about them.

I needed a solution to a drainage problem, a new sod lawn in the backyard, and a fence. What I got was a beautifully landscaped swale, a new back yard, and new cedar fence and gate.

After we had some serious downpours, the swale they had built, had become a canal of standing water. After 4 or 5 days, I called Robert to complain, and he came back on the next clear day and corrected the problem. He also cleaned my gutters, and mowed and edged my front lawn at no extra charge.

I will definitely be using them again.

I appreciated Robert's willingness to listen to my requests and help me to design what I wanted. He had suggestions, and ideas, which I agreed with. it is definitely a case of working together. His team of workers is very good- hard working and polite. I would recommend Artistic Landscapes to anyone- in fact, I already have!

Robert and his team did an amazing job on our yard. They completely transformed it from plain and covered with weeds to a yard with many plants, clean lines and a clean appearance. Robert was punctual and kept us informed. We were provided with reasonable pricing and though they ended up using a few more plants than planned, we were not charge more. We decided to completely redo our existing front yard, and contacted Artistic for an estimate. We were satisfied not only with the estimate, but also with the amount of work done in presenting a design for our approval. Robert's design concept fit in perfectly with what we had in mind, and he took a lot of time answering questions and explaining the various options open to us. The job is now complete, and we couldn't be happier - Robert and his crew were able to create a beautiful, low maintenance yard for us that has elicited nothing but positive comments from our neighbors. Based on our experience, we would highly recommend Artistic Landscapes to anyone who asks.

Robert installed a new lawn and landscaping. His design is outstanding. We are very happy with is work.

Robert and his crew worked on my retainer wall between my lawn and lake. They added boulders to the low spots and river rock and pavers to make a very attractive mowing edge. First time I came out to check on his work I was ........ok with it. Robert however was not ok with my ok he wanted me to be thrilled. He gave it some more thought, came up with a brilliant idea using materials on hand and by the time he was done I was thrilled. And I was even more thrilled when he gave me the bill that was over $800 UNDER budget. . That never happens to me. ;) We already have plans to use Robert for our next project.

We had a rock wall repaired along with some rock stairs built, Robert and his team were on-time, honest, worked with us to adjust the quote and scope of work. We were amazed by the hard work, effort and attention to detail of him and his team. These guys were great and we will use them again.
