Overall

Hey folks if you want your car fixed right... Ken's Auto Body is the place! My family have been using them for years from minor car repair to major accident. I had my car fixed there six months ago that did damage to my front end. As a auto repair sure they will get some bad reviews but I know from personal experience that if you have a problem with the repair they will handle it on the spot! No questions asked.

My family and I have been bring our cars into Kens auto repair in Port Orchard for 20+ years. These people are very professional and have great customer service. They even saved me 300 on my last repair. Ive had numerious times one body shop will tell me a much greater price than Kens. They have wavied my deductable numerous times. I'd recommend taking your car to Kens first for a free estimate before you anywhere else.

They don’t understand basic suspension diagnosis.

Took my daughters 95 Sable to Ken's to have the front end repaired, the previous owner had ditched the car and right wheel was obviously out of alignment. I asked them if they knew how to diagnose front end damage using SAI (steering axis inclination) and was told they had state of the art equipment. I was told the strut was bent and the bill for diagnosing, replacing and alignment would be $350 ....Ten days and several phone calls later I was told they couldn't get the struts to adjust correctly due to aftermarket shims(??) When I arrived at the shop I looked at the struts and the "shims" were actually the stock camber plates (not shims, and not aftermarket) and the right wheel was still obviously out of whack. When I expressed my concerns I was told the car was parked on uneven ground. I called BS on this and told them that there was still something wrong. I asked to see the SAI alignment results and was told the computer wasn't working, so Wade (the owner) came out with numbers written on a piece of paper that made no sense. I told Wade that if he couldn't align it then shouldn't the bill be reduced? He then claimed the $350 was with a "free" alignment, and said that the car needed the struts anyway and to get it aligned somewhere else, then slammed the door and would not come back out. Two days later I took the car to a place in Gig Harbor where the technician measured it for 2 hours, discovered that the right spindle arm was bent, repaired and aligned it that same day for another $300. Since then I have spoken with other autobody professionals and been told many stories of bad repairs and poor customer service from Ken‘s. I will not ever go back. Just because they have state of the art machines and have been in business for some time doesn't mean they know what they're doing....
