Overall

My wife and I stayed at this campground for two months over the summer. It looks as if it is nice, however it is not. The pool was filthy and not at all heated. They advertise somewhere that the pool is heated, but the staff told us it is not.

My wife picked this campground because of the pool and laundry facilities, plus it is close to her nieces in Ponce Inlet.

So, the pool was out of the question. There were dirty diapers on the table by the pool, and the staff walked by them twice, made a face, and kept on with what they were doing.

Laundry: It would have been nice if the laundry folding table could have been used. Instead, about five women were sitting around it playing cards and drinking wine, one of the card players was a part of the KOA staff. Really nice. The washers were filthy, covered in sand and never cleaned the entire time we were there. Each time we went in, someone had their dog in the laundry room just wandering around. We are dog people, but it's a little annoying when a black lab won't let you get to your dryer because he wants to be pet. Even worse that after you pet him, you realize the dog hasn't been bathed in who knows how long and now your hands, therefore your laundry, smell awful.

Quiet time is 10pm, but that could have fooled us. The people that were in the campground were having motorcycle rev contests at 11pm on two separate occasions. Everyone that parked near us was a heavy drinker, and a heavy swearer. It was so nice to listen to them belch and swear until 3am every evening.

The bathhouses are filthy. New, but filthy. They say that they clean them daily - we never once saw someone clean them. My wife said that if she ever went over to use the shower, there was always wads of hair clogging the drains and strewn across the bathroom stalls.

My wife had a few encounters with Brian, the owner, who repeatedly would ask her if she wanted to have dinner or drinks when I wasn't around. Imagine that. When she repeatedly turned him down, he got her phone number from the front desk and began texting her. This behavior started about a week before we were scheduled to head to West Palm for the remainder of the summer. We hardly saw him before this. The day before we left, my wife was in the bathroom taking a shower. When she came out of the shower (she was clothed at this point) she see's Brian in the women's restroom changing the calendar of events board that hangs inside. He then made small talk with her before she walked out. Who knows how long he was standing in there.

Needless to say, we won't be returning to this KOA ever. I was also told that Brian owns the KOA at the speedway, too, and that it is even worse than the Port Orange KOA.

Oh, the "free" wifi - doesn't exist. It kicks you off every 5 minutes.

Overall

Sites very narrow and short must have been built before slide outs and long campers. Bathroom and laundry room is clean. Staff very rude and their attitude is carried through out the campgrounds. Pool is not heated so useless in winter. Most sites do not have any shade, some sites have metered electric, others are charged a flat fee.
