The electrodes will be connected to an EKG (electrocardiogram) machine. This machine records your heart's electrical activity. It shows how fast your heart is beating and the heart's rhythm (steady or irregular). An EKG also records the strength and timing of electrical signals as they pass through your heart.

Kidney Stones
CT scans use X-rays taken from multiple angles as a patient is moved through the opening of the machine. An X-ray tube and high resolution digital detector rotate very fast inside the machine’s opening to obtain pictures from all different angles and produce detailed images of bones, soft tissue, organs, and blood vessels. The rotation of these parts is internal and cannot be detected by the patient. The images produced from a CT scan are significantly more detailed than a traditional X-ray. It is considered an essential tool to assess acute brain trauma, kidney stones, and other conditions.
Prostate Cancer
A prostate MRI provides the clearest, most detailed images of the soft-tissue structures of the prostate, and is used as both a screening and a diagnostic tool for prostate cancer patients. It can also help to evaluate an abscess or infection (prostatitis) or detect an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia). Prostate MRI is also a useful tool for planning radiotherapy treatment for prostate cancer.

PET has been used for neurological imaging for many decades. It has grown in clinical importance, beyond its use in research, particularly due to patients with suspected dementia. Physicians can utilize PET imaging to visualize evidence of amyloid plaques when evaluating for Alzheimer's disease. PET/CT imaging can show precise areas of increased or decreased radiotracer uptake in the brain and doctors use this information to diagnose brain diseases, such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, and Epilepsy.

Ultrasounds, or sonograms, are performed at every ZP location. Our state-of-the-art high resolution ultrasound systems obtain images of internal organs and other soft-tissue structures inside the body. Our certified medical sonographers are dedicated to taking the time necessary to provide quality service to all of our patients. Ultrasound is a safe and painless test that uses high frequency sound waves to produce images. The sound waves cannot be heard or felt. Still and moving real-time images can be captured during an ultrasound.

Mammography
3D mammography, otherwise known as digital breast tomosynthesis, is an innovation in breast screening, producing images of breast tissue using X-rays. Mammography captures multiple images segments, or ‘slices’ of the breast at different angles before constructing them into three-dimensional images that are capable of showing more detail, and increases the ability to find smaller cancers that may be obscured by the “overlapping” of breast tissue on a traditional mammogram.
Computed Tomography
A PET-CT scan combines a CT scan and a PET scan to give detailed information to more accurately diagnose and locate cancers while increasing patient comfort. The combined functions provide images that pinpoint the location of abnormal metabolic activity within the body, like malignant tumor cells. Combining the scans has been shown to provide more accurate diagnoses than the two scans performed separately.

In one continuous whole-body scan, PET/CT captures images of changes in the body's metabolism which are caused by actively growing cancer cells. PET/CT provides a detailed picture of the body's internal structures and reveals the size, shape, and exact location of any abnormal and cancerous growths.
