X-rays
Digital radiography (digital x-ray) is the latest technology used to take dental x-rays. Deep Cleaning

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral Surgery
Dr. Liang came to the United States in 1989 from China. He graduated with number one in the class and received a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Jinan University, school of Dentistry in China. He worked in the Oral Surgery Department at the Jinan University Teaching Hospital for one year before he received a full scholarship to continue his graduate study in the US at University of Massachusetts. In 1991, Dr. Liang received the degree of Master of Science Major in Clinical Lab Sciences at UMass. After graduation, Dr. Liang worked as a research scientist at Harvard Medical School, Department of Pathology, and conducted scientific research in the field of Biomedical for a few years.
Gum Surgery
I have been a patient of Dr. Liang for several years and have had some difficult dental problems which he was able to resolve for me with excellent results. What impressed me about Dr. Liang's expertise is his ability to offer various alternatives on one's dental problems, and he himself can perform the various modalities of treatment without having to refer me to other specialists, for such procedures as root canal treatment, gum surgery, extractions, implants, etc., I have always been pleased with the services from Dr. Liang and his staff, and have recommended several of my relatives and friends to him for dental treatment, all of whom have been satisfied with his services. And I would not hesitate to recommend anyone in need of dental treatment, whether major or minor, to Dr. Liang.
Tooth Extractions
Dr. Liang does extractions for adults and children, which include difficult extractions such as wisdom teeth extractions (3rd molar extractions).
Ridge Augmentation
In dentistry, bone grafting a surgical procedure to preserve or build bone, when there is insufficient bone (either vertically or horizontally) place dental implants. It is very often required right after tooth extraction; or before dental implant procedure if the implant site needs more bone and there is insufficient bone either width or height; or at performed the same time when placing a dental implant. We add bone graft to fresh extraction site, called ridge preservation; or add bone to the jaw with insufficient height or width, called ridge augmentation; or add bone graft to the floor of sinus, called sinus lift. As I mentioned in the oral surgery section, 30-60% bone loss will occur on the extraction site the first year if no ridge preservation procedure is done. Therefore, bone graft material added to a extraction site right after the tooth being extraction, which is called ridge preservation, is the most effective, and inexpensive way to preserve the jawbone ridge width and height. Sinus lift is a procedure to place bone graft to the sinus floor to increase vertical height and improve bone quality for implant placement.
Bone Grafting
Bone grafting materials can be harvested from patient’s self ( autogenous bone graft ), or from cadavers ( allograft ), or from bovine driven bone ( xenograft ). Bone graft materials from cadavers or bovines are effective and safe.

Braces
Patient complained of the gap on the lower anterior teeth, and she did not want braces and porcelain veneers due to financial reasons.

Teeth Whitening
Teeth become stained due to smoking, eating habit, drinking soda, trauma, etc. Teeth whitening procedure is a conservative, inexpensive and effective way to whiten the yellow teeth, and to improve your smile dramatically. With proper maintenance, teeth whitening produces a very long-lasting result.
Cosmetic Dentistry
In 1996, Dr. Liang attended Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry and received a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. After practicing dentistry for a number of years, he developed strong interest in implant dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. He has completed hundreds of hours continuing education courses in implant dentistry. Dr. Liang is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI), and a regular attendant of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry study club in San Francisco.
