My elderly mother in law, who's Veteran husband passed away 5 years ago took her truck into this place with a major coolant leak. They had it for several days and recommended replacing the intake manifold gasket, sparkplugs and a couple of other things. ($620 something in cost) She authorized the repairs, thinking the repairs would fix the coolant leak. After theses repairs were made she was informed that the intake had a hole in it and it would have to be replaced for an additional $750 because the original leak still existed. I went with her to pick up the vehicle, she had to pay the $620 dollar invoice before we could tow it off and have her original problem fixed.



I used an inspection mirror and flashlight and located the hole in the intake within 5 minutes. Found an intake in Iowa and had it shipped here for $75 and installed it my self. This repaired the coolant leak. I ended up finding and replacing 2 coil packs not firing as well.



I made multiple attempts to contact the owner about this situation without a call back. First I was told that he wasn't available, and I needed to speak with the manager. (The same guy that charged $620 for repairs that didn't pertain to the original truck problem, I don't think so.) The next two times I was told that my message was passed along to the owner.



I feel like my mother in law was preyed upon by this shop and the owner has no conscience if he can allow business like this to be conducted out of his location.

Don't bring your vehicle here unless you want to be cheated and lied to.

I took my car in for a state inspection and they lied to me about the results to try and sell me further services. They called me to tell me that it had not passed because of windshield wiper blades. They also told me that my transmission fluid was very low and needed to be flushed and replaced. I had just had my blades replaced at the dealership just 2 months prior and had oil change and levels checked at that time so this seemed very strange. They said they could give me a no pass and I would have to come back in 15 days, I said that would be fine and walked back across the street to pick up my vehicle.

When I picked it up, they changed their story, it actually had passed and it was just a "little frayed on the end of one wiper blade". I took my minivan to the dealership after that to have things checked out and they confirmed that my transmission fluid was just fine and it looked like my wiper blade had been intentionally cut with a utility knife or something like that.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE, EVEN FOR A STATE INSPECTION!

I went to Kwik Kar (1200 14th St Plano, TX 75074) for a inspection and a oil change. They tried to sell me parts, there own mechanic told me i did not need.(the mechanic got in trouble for talking with me)

They have new owners. I never had a problem with them, before they changed ownership. (before 2013)

They tried to screwed me for more than 350 dollars.

They still charged me more than 250 dollars.
