AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

My 2001 Honda Odyssey had 2 transmissions replaced and when it started slipping, I was fearful that it was going to fail again. Unfortunately, although I knew AAMCO would do a very complete diagnosis at no cost, I delayed taking it in because I had very little money for repairs. Terrible mistake! When I finally had to take it in, I had waited too long. David, at Plano AAMCO broke the news to me as gently as he could and didn’t point out that he might have been able to fix it if only I’d come in a couple of weeks earlier.

I was so impressed by his competence, professionalism and willingness to help. He even provided me with the contact information for a reputable salvage yard so I would have something with which to help buy a new vehicle. So, if your transmission is slipping, go immediately to AAMCO of Plano and give David a chance to save your bacon. You can trust him.

I had a very bad experience. No upfront price quote until after transmission was taken apart, then charged around $750.00 for taking it apart, then referred to a predatory lender. After balking at 300% interest rate quoted by Title Loan company, was forced to pay half of the charges and sign over the vehicle, under threat of arrest. Very shady people to deal with!

AAMCO is the real deal. In a city sometimes filled with guys ready to take your money and do a shoddy job, AAMCO’s team was honest, upfront, and communicative. I've lived in TX for 14 years, and brought my car to lots of different places for various reasons but I think I’ve found my one stop shop after they went above and beyond for me with a replacement battery that I absolutely needed for the same day to make it to my son’s wedding.

I take my car to AAMCO at any sign of trouble. I was there three weeks ago and Paul, the technician, was excellent. They always get me in and out in no time. I was just there for a simple checkup, and they helped me out a lot with preventative care.

My car’s service here was very thorough and the staff was friendly and helpful. Will come again.
