Highland Park Club Apartments

My husband and I recently moved out of a HPCA apartment. Our experience was positive start to finish to the point that I am compelled to share it with others considering calling HPCA "home". As a college student I had my fair share of experiences with negligent, crooked landlords. I came out of that ordeal hoping to find a landlord that was fair, if nothing else. We were extremely fortunate to have found the HPCA community, which exceeded our expectations across the board. The property is beautiful. Outfitted with a fish pond and gazebo, it is easy to forget you are inside city limits. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time cooling off in the pool, mingling with the ever friendly neighbors. We took advantage of the grills and loved having guests join us at the picnic benches. The gym, while small, was never crowded and ideal for working out at my convenience without the hassle of traveling-or added payments. If you have a dog-THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. The HPCA is the most pet friendly apartment complex I have ever heard of, in any city. With a HUGE fenced in dog play area, dogs get their needed socialization and exercise right in "your" backyard. Between the doggy bag stations on the grounds and the attentive grounds-keeping staff, the common areas are always clean and well manicured. While many residents have dogs, children, etc. the complex was always quiet and serene. The staff is nothing short of phenomenal. The guard is the most friendly person I have ever met, always handing out dog bones and stopping to say hello. Ms. B and Hope in the office are personable and efficient. The actual apartment was ideal. With several huge closets AND a giant storage space in the basement, we had more room in our 2 bedroom unit than we do now in our two story house! We had no issues with outlets, and all sorts of things needing to be plugged in so I am surprised that has come up so frequently in other HPCA reviews. My husband is a light sleeper and was never bothered by noise from other tenants. The space was bright, roomy, and always comfortably heated. I would include complaints or negatives if I could come up with any (I have tried) but quite honestly, this place-while seemingly "too good to be true" delivers what it boasts, and is a real gem amongst the landlord companies that populate Pittsburgh. I would highly recommend HPCA!
