My experience at Bridal Alterations Pittsburgh was great. I needed a bridesmaid dress altered with only 4 weeks until the wedding. She was fast and efficient, and my dress fit perfectly! I will most definitely be returning to Barb at Bridal Alterations Pittsburgh for my next "fashion fix".

Barb! I can't thank her enough she was such a joy to work with she is so sweet my wedding dress alterations turned out beautiful! My maggie gown had so much fabric and she hemmed it perfectly I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

Barb really upset myself and my best friend who had her wedding gown altered. Her bustle was incredibly crooked, despite 4 people fixing it, and my bra was a nightmare.She saw my bra before and never said a word..3 days before the wedding, the bra showed all over the dress. She blamed it on the bride for picking strapless dresses, and had me in tears. I went in and she asked me what I wanted her to do. Some of the bra seams came out, so she fixed it, and took even more in on the sides to hold the top up. The dress was laying flat until the wedding day, where the bra STILL showed! I had pins everywhere as the fashion tape would not adhere to me. One of the bridesmaids had to sew me into my dress.Horrible experience all around. Would not recommend to anyone. We should've just stuck with Koda's alteration services. None of the other girls had a bra, nor did they have any issues since their dresses were taken in far enough on the sides. I paid, and had to have it fixed twice. Not thrilled at all.

Barb Manarinno does an awesome job with bridal alterations! She remodeled my mothers wedding gown the way I wanted it and it was amazing. I loved it.

I was first referred to Barb by a gentleman from the American Commodore Tuxedo store in Robinson, where my brother and his groomsmen got their suits for his wedding. I gave her a call and Barb was able to alter my bridesmaid dress for my brother's wedding on short notice. She did a fantastic job! I enjoyed myself all day and never worried about the fit of my dress. I recommended her to a friend who later also had a bridesmaid dress altered and was very pleased. I have been back to Barb a couple of times since to have pants hemmed as well as to have the sleeves shortened a tiny bit on my favorite coat. Most recently, my Mom had the sleeves done on her new winter coat. Barb is always pleasant and helpful - easy to talk to. Her prices are very reasonable. She strives to satisfy and does solid work. I'm very glad that tuxedo man gave me her card!

We had a great experience with Barb. We went to her to hem a wedding dress and walked away with not only the hemmed dress, but one that was cleaned and pressed. She made so many extra touches that made the dress that much prettier. She also has a nice little area to try on the dress, complete with platform and mirror. We would recommend her to anyone looking to have their wedding dresses altered. We will definitely go back to her for our other daughters' needs.

Barb altered my wedding gown and did an excellent job! She is flexible with scheduling and a skilled seamstress. I will return to her with any future bridesmaid dresses!

When it came time to alter my wedding dress the answer on who to go to was simple, the woman my sister and close friends had used. After two months of trying to make our schedules matched she called me to say she wouldn't be able to alter my dress due to health issues. Time had become critical and I turned to google with worry. Barb is AMAZING!!! She is extremely talented at what she does! Barb listened to exactly what I wanted and altered my dress to make me look beautiful for my wedding day. I wanted a lace veil that matched my dress but they are so expensive to buy from a bridal shop. Barb and I went shopping together and picked out lace that matched my dress perfectly. She made me a veil that was GORGEOUS and looked stunning with my dress!! Barb helped make my wedding day just the way I always envisioned it. I highly reccommend her!

The hem on my gown was a disaster! If it weren't for the efforts of the kind and caring clerk at the bridal shop where I purchased my gown, I would have been in a real bind considering it was 3 days before the wedding. I would not recommend the services of Bridal Alterations Pittsburgh.

Beautful work, and the proprietor is a pleasure to work with. She did two gowns for my upcoming wedding. She is very professional and prompt.

With only a month to get my dress altered due to a 2 month engagement I thought I had no hope. But when I called Barb she said she could help me. And she did! She helped me make my dress appropriate for our Religious ceremony and it was perfect! Not to mention it was great priced and I couldn't of asked for a better person to work with. Barb turned my wedding dress from beautiful to absolutely stunning. She made excellent suggestions in altering the dress including sewing a petticoat underneath to give me some hips, which is a good thing, since I have a straight figure and the dress originally hung very straight as well. Excellent job done!

Barb did a great job! I got my dress from a store that went out of business, so did not end up with the one I paid for and ordered but had to chose from what was left. I chose a dress that was the same designer but 4 dress sizes too big. Barb worked miracles and the dress looked like it was made for me by the time she was done. She is very personable and the fittings were fun to go to. Her services are also very affordable for the quality of work done. There is a reason that Barb consistently gets five star reviews - it's because she is amazing! I purchased my dress in Ohio (with family), live in Boston, and got married in Pittsburgh. Sounds complicated right? Barb made it all easy. She was so flexible in scheduling my fittings. She made suggestions on specific alterations and additions to give my dress the perfect fit. Barb is patient, helpful, and very professional. Her prices are very reasonable and didn't charge extra for additional last minute alterations and tweaks. She even sewed the date of my wedding into my dress! How cool is that?!?! My mom (who sews as a hobby) came to my final fitting and was so impressed with the quality of Barb's work. Barb is one very talented and professional seamstress - don't believe anyone who says otherwise.

Barb is awesome...I have only amazing things to say about my experience with her. This woman knows what she is doing, and does it exceptionally well! I found her randomly through a site like this and decided to pay her a visit to get my dress I bought at a sample sale and wanted to customize it. Our wedding was in August 2011. I found Bridal Sew online and decided to give Barb a call to see if she would be able to help me with major alterations to my gown which had been given to me. She looked at the dress and said she would be able to provide the necessary alterations. She was very thorough in her approach and her work was very articulate. She made some additional alterations to the sleeves which really enhanced the beauty of the gown. I was very pleased with Barb's work and would recommend her to anyone. Her work is very high quality as well as reasonable. I am so glad that I chose to have Barb do the work. I am assured that no other dress shop would've been able to match her quality of work.
