Taste of China

I love Chinese food, so after moving to Pilot Mountain 5 years ago I didn't think I would be able to find a decent Chinese restaurant around, lets face it, it is a pretty rural area. I was surprised when I went to Taste of China. The lady at the front counter is always friendly, usually knows what we are going to get when we come for our monthly visit.



The food there is good but I do have the feeling that they have a different cook sometimes, their food isn't consistent. Sometimes it is great, and other times just average.

The ingredients are fresh and high quality. The food is well prepared. There are a wide range of dishes across all of the major styles of Chinese cooking (Canton, Hunan, Szechuan). The prices are extremely reasonable. This is clearly a well run family business. The ambiance is nothing to write home about, this is mainly a take-out restaurant, but overall this restaurant offers a truly excellent value. And no, I have no relationship whatsoever with the owners. I just think a good job should be recognized.
