Affordable Cabins in the Smokies

My boyfriend and i decided to rent King of the Mountain for our first family vacation. It was absolutely beautiful.The cabin was set up very nice for our arrival. We had an amazing week there. My boyfriend even proposed to me there! it really was a dream come true.UNTIL the day it was time to leave, a storm had knocked out some power lines near the cabin. We were unable to wash our dishes. We left a note explaining why we left the dishes. When we finally got home we called just to make sure they got the message. We were very shocked to find out that the entire cabin had flooded. Even more shocked when we were told that we purposely did it. We were also told that we were lying about the power outage. We were absolutely outraged. A few months later we received a letter stating that our credit card was going to be charged $2,500 for damages, or go to court. Thankfully we cancelled that card. It's been over a year now and we haven't heard from them at all. I did however notice all of the outdated and barely working appliances in the cabin, and $2,500 would help update some things. It really is a shame, we had such a special time there and we were planning on having our honeymoon there.
