We rented from Aardvark 2 year...

We rented from Aardvark 2 years ago and got engaged at the Snuggle Bear cabin. We had a wonderful time and decided to return this year, but to try out a different cabin, the Sky Ryder. Big mistake. This cabin was a nightmare and we ended up leaving early as a result. First of all, we had one tiny light on the fan in the master bedroom and multiple lightbulbs out in the entire cabin. When I called to tell the office, Jeannie was very rude and told me someone couldn't get there until the next day. Next, we noticed brown, cold water in the hot tub, which was very disappointing. I called Jeannie again and was told that we are in the mountains. Then I got off the phone and tried to sit in the rocking chair at which point, I fell through. I got up to look and there were nails sticking out of the chair and duct tape holding the back together. That night we lost power for a few hours during the night, making it very warm. We tried to make the best of it and stick it out. The next night we decided to try out the advertised jacuzzi tub. When we filled it with water, the water was brown and the jets sounded like a plane in our room. After draining the water, we found a brown film stuck to the tub, gross. The next day we lost power twice in perfect weather. that night, we lost power and water for 6 1/2 hours. I tried calling the emergency line at Aardvark, but there was no message space. We had to google the electric company with hardly any phone battery power and leave a message. However, all of the other cabins on the mountain had power. That night we were unable to use the hot tub, flush toilets, or even brush our teeth. There were not any flashlights or candles in the cabin or even a number to call should this happen. The nex day, Jeannie actually laughed when I told her this and refused to move us for our last night or refund us any money. The BBB has given them an "F" rating! DO NOT RENT FROM AARDVARK CABIN RENTALS!

Overall
We rented "Bearies N Cherries"...

We rented "Bearies N Cherries" Cabin from AArdvark rentals and when we arrived (and we have over 190 photos for proof) there were wood roaches, the furniture was so dirty that we couldn't sit on it but they were willing to cover it with sheets until it could be cleaned on Monday...we were leaving Tuesday. We were told they found 2 scorpians on the morning of our arrival but not to worry... they are not poisonous. I'd tell my worst enemy to run away fast because even though the pictures are false advertisement, they don't refund your money. The cabin is in a well manicured, beautiful resort setting of which this company only has 1 cabin there. The yard hadn't been mowed in who knows how long but they say they mow every 3 weeks. They only had one other cabin available in another area that hadn't been rented, according to the secretary, in quite a while but yet the toilet was full of urine, the cabin was musty and definitely not the quality of cabin we paid for in the beginning. Needless to say, we are still persuing a refund and filed a petition with the BBB. We had to rent another cabin because it was not near ready for occupants!
