This Vet is remarkable with my pets & being going there for years now. The establishment has extended my sister credit many times on certain procedures in which she pays monthly,

Terribly rude front desk woman. Very dirty office. Vets are nice but seem inconsistent with their care. Much better options out there.

Ok, so I am normally not the one to make these type of comments but I just want to let everyone know DO NOT ever go to Noah's Ark Animal Hospital in the NE on Frankford Ave. I went to this vet for quite a few years and never had any problems. I referred people to them and know others as well as myself who have pets who have had procedures done here with no problems. I stopped going here a couple of years ago when they treated my cat who had lymphoma and it was back and forth and they had no clue what was wrong with her after surgery, blood work, diff meds and tests. I had a second opinion at university of penn and she had lymphoma....her whole insides was covered in tumors and this lady couldn't find any when she did surgery. So after that I switched vets. My new vet wanted way too much money to have my two dogs fixed so I figured I would just go to Noah's Ark...spaying and neutering a dog is a pretty routine surgery that most pets have at some point, no big deal. On Sat I dropped of my 2 dogs in the morning and picked them up at 1pm and took them home...at 2pm my puppy started bleeding out on my sofa, sitting in a puddle of blood. My husband rushed him back to Noahs thinking he might have busted his stitches, they told him to come back at 3 for him. I went back at 3pm to get him and the vet came out and told me she was having a hard time, his stitches didn't break, she didn't know where the bleeding was coming from. She said they put him under and seen something bleeding and sutured it and when he started to wake up he started bleeding again so she sedated him a 3rd time and opened him up and couldn't find where he was bleeding from so she wrapped his back side up and was trying to warm him up. My dog was laying on the table almost lifeless and they are telling me they don't know why he's bleeding and then her assistant goes on to ask me if I was worried before I dropped him off and I said yea a little, she then tells me that me worrying and all that bad energy can make bad things happen and basically is blaming my "bad energy" because they don't know what they were doing. So basically they had me take him home and if he were to bleed through the bandage take him to the 24hr er vet. They even told me the vet wanted to give him a blood transfusion from her dog but her dog was sick so they couldn't which I think was weird they would even do that even if he wasn't sick. So I took my dog home and I go to let my other dog out who I had spayed and pick her up and she had blood come out of her incision wound dripping all down my side. I called the 24 hour vet and they said that neither of their symptoms are normal. I took my puppy who was neutered to the emergency vet and they did blood work and it was all normal so my dog wasn't the problem(clotting disorders, etc) They took his bandage off and said that the sutures possibly weren't tight enough and one slipped and basically said it was the vets fault. I was told to watch my other dog who was spayed and make sure she didn't swell anymore or bleed. These surgeries should have been a lot different and this lady is a butcher and if you care about your pets you will never use this woman as your vet!!! My dog almost bled to death and I am very lucky he is getting better, he still isn't out of the woods yet but he is improving as is my other pup, but someone else may not be so lucky!!!!!

Not sure how this place has 4 stars. My cat has been very lethargic the past 2 days, barely eating and drinking, sleeping, and has very sunken eyes. I took him to Noah's because the reviews were decent. The actual office and waiting area is very dirty. I don't mean pet fur dirty, but it took a lot in my will power to not dust the little glass table and clean the dust bunny growing in the corners of the room. I looked past that and just remembered the reviews are good. The vet did not even weigh my cat, I don't think she took his temp, and basically blamed all his symptoms on the fact that he's FIV+. Now I know FIV can have those affects on a cat, however this is a middle aged cat that is full of energy and always super excited to see me come home. This does not change in one day unless something is wrong. I told the vet 3 times I think he has fleas until she finally checked and confirmed. Gave him immune support meds that I requested when I got there, however she did not make note of how much to give him.

One thing she discovered was that he is dehydrated, so I googled dehydration symptoms and that is exactly what he is experiencing. When leaving I asked when the meds will start working or helping, or when I should come for a follow up visit, she said she'll see me in a year. So basically all his symptoms were blamed on the fact that he is FIV+, nothing else was considered, received meds with no instructions, and I should come back in a year if the blood work is fine. Great. I rather pay double and have some kind of answers or opinions than pay less and have to make another trip to the vet if the fluids do not work.

My experience with Noah's Ark Animal Hospital

I was visiting my family in Philadelphia over the holidays with my dog Maggie. Maggie had been given too many treats from a family member that thought he was being nice. She became extremely sick and was defecating frank blood and was vomitng. I called Noah's Ark animal Hospital and was told to bring her right up. Dr. Ronis was very efficient in her treatment of Maggie's condition, and after only 24 hours of being treated, her diarrhea cleared up, and she was back to her old self.

I am so grateful to Dr. Ronis, not only for taking me in as quickly as she did, but for her excellent care in treating my precious pets ailment. Although I was not a regular client, she treated us as though we had been one for years. I would reccommend her to anyone who loves their pet, and can't thank her enough for her caring and proffesional ethics.

Northeast Animal Hospital

The worst animal hospital I've ever been to. The vets don't care about the pet but about your payment. They don't take the time to listen to you and are rude. Very bad sanitary conditions.
