Overall
good ER/bad floor staff

I went there with bad stomach pain. They took me back fast and the nurse was very attentive and so sympathetic to my pain she actually told the Dr what pain meds to giveme and I felt better. I was sent home. Unfortunately I hadcto return the next day. Good thing is I had the same nurse but when I was admitted to the 5th floor OMG! THE WORST NURSING STAFF!. I told them and the house dr. Dr Doan that I have a Lupus like condition and need my meds. I had a bad flare and I pleaded with them to call my rheumatologist. Not until the 5th day when I found a number for nurse supervisor did I get my Lupus medication. They discharged me on the 6th day and the next day I was sick all over again!!! This time I called my primary Dr who said don't go back to Nazareth go to Jeanes hospital where I was admitted for 3 more days and sent home with meds for my colitis. I will NEVER GO BACK TO NAZARETH!!!!!!

Overall

Nazareth Hospital is NOT the place to go. The staff ignores to communicate with patients and family. They also fail to demonstrate urgency in an “urgent”care environment. Staff have the nerve to cop an attitude.

We are unhappy with the care we receive at 5th floor!!!, We’re unhappy with a hospital staff member I will never ever would tell my friend to go at this mismanaged ER. Unfortunately, the bad reputation that they have had for many years still lives on.

Overall
If you are an abused spouse ST...

If you are an abused spouse STAY AWAY from Nazareth Hospital!!!!!!!!!!Their ER doctors and nurses will especially side with the abuser and give the abused wife NO HELP and NO COMPASSION. My husband abused me and left knife scratches on my wrists. I was drunk, passed out on my own kitchen floor and he called 911 and got them to come and told them I threatened suicide and EMT's took me to Nazareth Hospital. I was drunk if you call. 1.0 drunk so they told me someone over 18 would have to get me. I was in an abusive relationship where as is so known an abuser isolates you from ALL people so I had NO ONE TO CALL-- Only him. They told me they were holding me only because my blood alcohol level was over the limit. When my husband ( my abuser) came to get me they told him they would sign the papers to put me under psychiatric evaluation for suicide if HE wanted. He was angry at me and telling me I NEEDED TO BE CONTROLLED> He was LATE for WORK so he didn't want to go through the bother of the paperwork needed to put me in the Psych ward so he sighned me out--Took me home and left me at the end of the block to walk home and left me HOME ALONE... If I were going to commit suicide the STUPID ER Doctor gave me a prescription for Xanax I would have filled it and made DAMN sure I didn't survive if that were my intent.......ABUSED WOMEN STAY AWAY FROM NAZARETH HOSPITAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall
Lack of care in the ER

If you are in need of fast emergency care this is NOT the place to go. The staff is poorly trained on how to communicate with patients and family. They also fail to demonstrate urgency in an “urgent”care environment. I would risk driving to another ER rather than take my chances at this mismanaged ER. Unfortunately, the bad reputation that they have had for many years still lives on.
