Bala Nursing & Retirement Center

My mother was in this nursing home for two weeks. They did not respond when she would called out for help. They left her sheets soiled the entire overnight shift. The food was horrible. If you care anything about your love ones, please consider another home who would at least act as if they care even if they don't. The doctor only visited her once. Meds was never on time therefore she was always in pain. I can go on and on but overall. This nursing home is not even worth a one star.

This place is beyond terrible and I feel like I wouldnt be doing the right thing if I did t let others know. My mom was in this hell hole for 5 terrible nights. First she needed assistance using the bathroom so the staff told her to press the call bell and when she did she sat there for an hr waiting. Come to find out her bell was broken. Then I come in to bring her more clothes and they have my mom in a diaper when she is fully capable to use the toiket but i guess since her bell was broken they didnt want her to have an accident and have to clean it up! Their peoblem solving to the broken bell was to use her cell phone to call the nurses desk. When my mom did as she was told, they told her she has to hold on because they were on the phone. The staff is very loud and my sister saw them olay fighting and using their phones to record it. I didnt find not one oerson who took their hob seriously and it is very sad for the older folks who have no choice but to deal with these harsh conditions. Please if you love someone do not send them here do some research! I wouldnt send my worst enemy here!

Two thumbs up for the therapy staff!!! They work as a team and demonstrate on a daily basis how much they care for each individual residents needs!
