Overall

The worst retail store I have every dealt with bar none!

Do not shop here!!! I purchased a washer and a dryer and the moment the credit card was processed they have become impossible to deal with. I was shipped damaged merchandise and have been told that because the packaging was opened I caused the damage. They will not make good on their promise to replace. They will not allow me to return it. Go ANYWHERE but here to buy appliances

Very-very poor overall experie...

Very-very poor overall experience and am still picking up the pieces. I purposely went to this store instead of Lowe's because I believe in supporting small business owners, I won't make that mistake again with this company. I ordered a stackable washer and dryer. The sales person JR actually was helpful. The delivery was made on time and that is when the nightmare started. They completely scratched my hardwood (laminate) floors, which cannot be buffed out, so if I want to get it fixed, I have to redo the entire floor. They crashed into the hall closet, bending it off the slide, and now that needs to be replaced. They would not connect the ventillation claiming that because it went into the ceiling, they weren't allowed to do this, although upon further inspection after the fact, I noticed this was not the case, and they could have completed this task. Its actually clamped halfway up, I plan on doing this myself over the weekend and expect it will take five minutes. Point being I shouldn't have to go through the trouble. Overall they delivery and installation guys were dreadful, lazy and complained the whole time. I called the store to report the incident and the damage to the store manager and he said he would do some investigating and call me back. That has not happened. Its a shame, I was trying to support the local guy and really ended up getting burned. Won't make that mistake again and next time will go to Lowe's or Home Depot. Stay away from Airs.

Concerning the specifics of joerf48, the financial part of the transaction was screwed up because she used a debit card that had an insufficient amount to cover the 50% deposit. The debit card transaction was cancelled and a credit card was used. Unfortunately, banks will hold back money on debit cards for days before it is returned and available to be used. The transaction was resolved once the banks caught up with everything. The initial Range top was refused by the distributor (never got to us) and a rush order was sent to the factory to build another ASAP - Note: Special Order! The ventilation hood comes in a sealed box from the factory - it is opened at the client's home. Though the hood was received damaged, the piece was replaced within the week, and the contractor was free to use whatever parts of the damaged hood that he needed to keep the job on schedule. The Island trim may have arrived damaged from the distributor, but another well packed replacement was sent out to AIRS rather than the client, and that piece was in the client's hand within 24hours. Final point - everything has been completed, delivered and installed. With special orders like this one, AIRS Appliances is totally dependent on the manufacturer & distributor as to arrival time and state of packed/sealed appliances. Pretty good followup to uncommon situations.

I purchased a range top and ventilation hood from Airs and I've had problems with everything. The Blue Star range top, which was expensive as can be, came scratched and they refused it at the warehouse. It took 2 weeks to get a replacement. They delivered the Faber vent and it had been packed upside down and the motor was smashed. It had to be replaced and came with the range top. The range top didn't come with the trim package I requested and when that was finally delivered it was dented - again packaged improperly. There hasn't been one item that has arrived in perfect condition on time. I ordered at the beginning of February, it is now the end of March. My contractor is a patient guy, but this is absurd. I'm pissed totally and if there was any other place to purchase this range in my area, damn right I would have gone there. Hell, it's made in Reading - 45 minutes from my house - I could have picked it up. I'm livid and wouldn't recommend anyone go to Airs.
