Abdel Kader Tal, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, serving the community of the greater Toledo area, at Dermatology Associates in Perrysburg, OH. Dr. Tal specializes in the treatment of skin cancers and advanced cosmetic procedures. He’s successfully performed more than 7,000 cases of Mohs micrographic surgeries to treat skin cancers as well as thousands of cosmetic procedures including Botox®, fillers, thread lifts and lasers. Dr. Tal is originally from Beirut, Lebanon. He completed his medical school (2001) and first residency in Dermatology (2005) at the American University of Beirut. He then moved to the United States where he repeated his residency in Dermatology at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan (2010), and earned the Chief Resident’s Award. He then specialized in skin cancer surgery (Mohs surgery) and cosmetics (2011) at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas and has been in practice since. With advanced expertise in Mohs surgery and various cosmetic and laser procedures, Dr. Tal served as Director of Mohs Surgery at Wayne State University’s Department of Dermatology for 2 years. During this time, he taught dermatology residents and medical students Mohs Surgery and cosmetics and earned the attending of the year award for 2012-2013. He is currently the author of several publications on the Mohs procedure and other cosmetic techniques. He lives happily with his wife and four children in the Toledo, Ohio area and enjoys traveling and outdoor activities when he is not seeing patients.
