Penrose Tractor Factory

I can't believe some of the reviews that are negative because Randy makes sure everyone gets the job done right and if you by a tractor from him he delivers it personally to show you exactly how everything works. He's got one of the best mechanics in his Napa garage there and also is rated one of the best by AAA. He I'd the man to go to about buying a tractor it simply fixing yours. There is no better! Honest and reliable. And carries LS tractors, top of the line!

Randy told us he could fix our tractor & we paid for pickup in April & got it back in August, almost 1/2 yr later & charged us 3 grand. Tractor still doesn't work & we had to get a lawyer to get them to return our parts & manual. Randy told us numerous times he would bring parts to our house & would never call & was a no show each time. When/if we were able to get ahold of him he would say "ah yeah, I just get busy at times" with no remorse whatsoever. We have never left any reviews on businesses before in our lives, but after this experience we felt we needed to save anyone from doing business with them. When you call them for updates as to why/where your machine is, you will receive responses from "Randy's sick, Randy just stepped out, & even Randy is in Japan", (this is all from Debby at the front desk) and you will NEVER receive a call back, not once. We even had a friend that works in Penrose stop by 5 times over the course of this, and he was told numerous things as well, such as "maybe tomorrow we'll get it done, or we are just so understaffed", although he never got the "Japan" excuse. So after paying them 3 thousand dollars, we are still stuck with a tractor that doesn't run and we will be selling for parts. Oh, the one time you will get a call from them is when they want your credit card #. They would not deliver the tractor back to us until the bill was paid for in full, so we had no idea we were paying for a non running machine until he was long gone. It's amazing a business can run this way. We have so many neighbors that own similar equipment that are now aware of avoiding Penrose Tractor at all costs. Again, we have had bad experienced with places just like everyone else has, but this is on a whole different scale and hopefully we can save others the nightmare of dealing with their credit card company, hiring lawyers, and getting stuck high dollars for nothing. By far the worst experience we've ever had to deal with.

They were very helpful when we totaled our trailer. Working with us to trade it for a Minnie Winnie. If you can talk to Randy. Debbie can be a bit harsh.

Penrose Tractor Factory has no customer service, a threatening/judgmental atmosphere, and no confidentiality what so ever. I was threatened and told to F**k Off many of times by the woman with wild blonde hair at the front desk. She refuses to provide me her name and threatens me on camera. I would rethink your motto "Each employee is dedicated to superior customer service. However, don’t just take our word for it come in and see us…and we’ll prove it to you!" I did come for services and was treated as a criminal and judged all because I needed services through SMARTSTART. Not only do they give themselves a bad name they give their contracting company SmartStart a bad name. Go somewhere else!



I don't think the owner Randy Sipma would be very pleased with the way his business is run when he is not around.

I was stuck up to both bumbers in brush hollw. These folks were the cheapest by far in fremont county and they were on the way as soon as they got the call. About thirty minutes later I was back in canon city, washing the mud off. Thanks guys!!!! You ROCK!!!!!
