I rushed my mom into the ER on Sat 4-28-18 at 10pm because she was having a stroke. The ER team there didn't waist a second tending to my mom, gathering information and made a critical life saving decision to administer the medication TPA. My mom came home that following Tuesday with no noticeable residual affects from the stroke. I work in a nursing home, in Physical Therapy, I know better then most the outcome from my mother's stroke could have been devastating. This hospital has made significant changes from the last I remember it several years ago. It is bright, friendly and the staff quality from then to now is night and day. From the, PA's, the ER nurses, Brenda and Joan H. who catered to my mom and made her comfortable, to the SICU unit nurses who bent over backwards caring for her (and let's be clear, my mom is a very difficult patient), but they didn't let her attitude affect the kindness and professionalism they exhibited. Anyway, our family is beyond appreciative for the miracle we experienced and the care received during this frightening ordeal. We thank Christ, Jesus first and foremost and we're also thanking this hospital and staff. Our opinion of BMHMC is now one of confidence and should we need a hospital again we will not hesitate to go here.
