Chiropractic Adjustments
Your first office visit will consist of a health history, a physical exam to diagnose the injury or issue and treatment which may consist of Chiropractic adjustments, therapy, stretches and ergonomic tips. Doctor Pillow will explain causative factors, even if there appears to be no specific mechanism of injury. Lastly, you will be given instruction on home care.
Spinal Adjustments
Dr. Pillow is well-versed not only in spinal adjustments, but also in extremity adjustments. Issues may originate in an extremity and not from the spine. Upper and lower extremity injuries that she has successfully treated include Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Rotator Cuff Dysfunction and Plantar Fasciitis to name a few. Many patients enjoy getting the arches of their feet adjusted and feel it adds a skip to their step!

Dr. Pillow uses hands-on treatment at each visit and is skilled in many techniques. She uses a combination of Drop Table, Spinal Decompression, Flexion-Distraction, Activator, Pelvic wedges and Diversified or manual techniques.
Flexion Distraction Therapy
Dr. Pillow uses hands-on treatment at each visit and is well-versed in many techniques. Gentle techniques practiced include Activator, SOT Pelvic wedges, Drop and Flexion-Distraction or Spinal Decompression. These do not create the “pop” sound during the adjustment. Diversified is a more hands-on technique that may make a cavitation or audible sound when the joint releases. This is used only with patients that enjoy this type of adjustment. Dr. Pillow never forces adjustments, so she always takes special care, particularly with patients that are hesitant. She has helped numerous people without ever “popping” a joint.
Acupressure
Part of our Nutritional guidance may include muscle testing and Nutrition Response Testing. NRT or Nutrition Response Testing is a non-invasive, precise and scientific technique that helps determine the strengths and weaknesses in your body. First, through an analysis of your body’s reflexes, we determine the exact organs and structures that are weak. We then correlate the right supplement in order to bring about balanced and improved health. The analysis is done through painless and noninvasive testing of the body’s neurological reflexes and acupressure points.
