Took my 1 week old new car in ...

Took my 1 week old new car in for a wash, was walking up to the cashier when I got called back by Auto Glass guy who wanted to know if I had insurance? I asked him why and he said my windshield had a couple of nicks and he could repair it with a polymer for free with insurance or I could pay $45.00 for the service. I told him my windscreen had no nicks on it when I drove it in and he had just done that. He said I could not prove it and the management agreed with him! Pasadena PD told me this was a civil matter and had to be addressed as such. I have used this car wash for years and have tolerated so so service over the years which speaks poorly of me however blatant theft of this nature is really chilling.

Bad Customer Service

This Car Wash has a new Manager who is not very nice. I was at this car wash this past week getting my car cleaned. I paid for their #1 Car Wash Service which amounts to $14.95 plus they charge a dollar extra if you have a mid-size SUV. So I paid $15.95. When my car went thru their washing cycle, I noticed that the wax lights did not come on. This has happened to me serveral times in the past. Before, when this has occurred, I would just ask the manager to re-run my car thru again so I can get the benefit of the wax which I have paid for. When the wax lights did not come on for my car this week, I asked this new manager to re-run my car thru. He did, but he then came over to me and started yelling at me that I was lying about the Wax Lights coming on the first time. The manager told me I should pay for a second wash. I have been a loyal customer of this car wash for years. I take my cars to this car wash on a weekly basis. When I complained to the owners son on how I was treated by their Manager, he did not seem to care and did not take it seriously. I then told the owners son and the Manager, that I will not be bringing my car back for service ever again. This car wash has lost a loyal customer. In these economic hard times, you would think businesses would work that much harder to keep their customer base happy. Not this car wash. They could care less. They just want your money. I also find that their Detail Service is not very accomodating either. I was ready to drop $200.00 the day I was at this car wash, to get my car fully detailed. Even though I feel $200.00 is a little pricey, they were unwilling to accomodate me on my schedule. I give this car wash an "F" grade in customer service. Any one who continues to take their car to this car wash for service, I will not say I told you so when you have a bad experience with them.

You're better off doing it yourself

Usually I do, but on this hot dayI decided to splurge.

Basic wash is $10.95 Super Wash $14.95. The kid writing the ticket talked me out of the Super because the wax and seal that they advertised, "they just spray some stuff on it, I'm just being honest wit'chu" and I appreciated it. The whole wash and wipe down took 15 min, I didn't even get to the paper work I brought with me to do during the wait. If it was a good wash the time would be great, but it's not. There was still visible crumbs on ALL of my seats. The floor mats which didn't even seem like they were vacuumed except for the fact that they were completely disheveled. The outside of the car was completely inconsistant with visible wipe marks and other dusty areas appearing to have just been wet down and not wiped.

If you're into speed washes it's your place, but if you want it clean, do it yourself or keep looking. Or... if you want a comparable wash, find a 8 or 9 year old child to do it, they'd probably even do a better job for half the price.

These guys really get your car cleaned. Although I do wish they had free coffee.
