Very bad experience

I went to the branch before Christmas to inquire if they have free checking account. I was told yes since I am senior citizen. I won't have to maintain any minimum balance and I will be entitle for various incentives for opening the account upto $250. I agreed and opened the account with them.
in few days I received my first statement from the bank with $4.95 service charge. I called the rep at branch and was told that the bank no longer give out free checking account. I was told by the rep that he did not know about the change of the policy. I said fine, let's close my account immediately. The repp suggested that I should wait for 3 months to close the account...since I am entitle for $250 (direct deposit, online bill pay, opening savings and checking acct, etc).
After 3 months I went to same rep to inquire if the incentives were posted to my acct. He reviewed my acct and apologized to me that because of some clerical screw up the incentive did not get posted by the system and he will make sure that it will get posted manually.
After couple of days I received a call from the rep that the bank's branch manager has decided that I am not entitle for any incentive because I did not have enough activity. I asked him to show me the defination of "enough activity" in the forms I was provided when I opened the accts. They did not.
Anyway, I ended up closing both accts without receiving any incentive or satisfactory explaination. I am sorry but I am not happy the way I treated by the bank.
