After graduating with honors from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 1997, Dr. Brenon practiced primary care optometry in the Columbia, MO area for 2 years and then joined the doctors at Complete Vision Care in 1999. He is a member of the Missouri Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Ophthalmologists

Glaucoma
Dr. Crane joined Complete Vision Care in the fall of 2014.Â Previously, Dr. Crane has practiced in the St. Louis metro area in various modes of practice.Â For over 10 years he taught ocular disease and clinical problem-solving in the classroom and clinics at the College of Optometry at the University of Missouriâ€“St. Louis, with special interest in glaucoma, ocular infection, and ocular surface/dry eye disease.Â He has worked extensively with Dr. Kahrhoff on the use of platelet-rich plasma for the treatment of ocular surface disease.Â Â Â
Macular Degeneration
The macula is the focal point of the retina and is responsible for central vision. Age-related macular degeneration (AMD), which is common in older adults, causes the macula to deteriorate.
Laser Eye Surgery
Dr. Brenon practices full-scope optometry under his therapeutic license. Such practice includes diabetic eye evaluations, bifocal contact lens fitting, LASIK consultation, and a myriad of other optometric services.
Cataracts
High myopia can also contribute to the formation of cataracts, which cause the eyeâ€™s natural lens to grow progressively more cloudy.
Cataract Surgery
If the cataract is at an advanced stage, your eye doctor will likely recommend cataract surgery, a safe procedure where the cloudy lens is replaced with a new intraocular lens (IOL).
Eye Exam
Routine eye exams are important, regardless of your age or physical health. During a complete eye exam, your eye doctor will not only determine your prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses, but will also check your eyes for common eye diseases, assess how your eyes work together as a team and evaluate your eyes as an indicator of your overall health.

Problems with a personâ€™s vision, particularly in relation to spatial awareness and processing visual information, can cause people with autism to feel confused or anxious. This may result in the worsening of certain symptoms and behaviors linked to autism, such as lack of eye contact and viewing objects with their side vision rather than looking straight at them.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Studies show that many children with learning disabilities also have visual issues that can make it even more difficult to learn. And sometimes, visual problems are misdiagnosed as ADHD or a learning disability because they share some of the same symptoms.

Diabetic retinopathy occurs when the retina's tiny blood vessels weaken and inflate as a result of high blood sugar levels. As the blood vessels grow, they bleedâ€”causing severe vision loss, and in extreme cases even blindness.
