General Info

Maternity Services Comfort and Convenience The Women's Services Department provides services to obstetrical patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for the provision of care during pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum and neonatal periods. The Labor and Delivery Department is located on the second floor with four Labor and Delivery Rooms and a Cesarean Section Room. The Nursery is located on the second floor and is divided into a regular and an isolation area with a work room located between the two areas. Perfect Place To Welcome Your Baby The personal attention you'll receive from our highly-trained staff and the comfortable setting of the AMMC Women's Services Department provides the perfect place for the birth of your baby. After your baby is born, AMMC will supply all the attention your newborn deserves, with a fully-equipped and an expertly staffed nursery and 'round the clock care! That's why, right from the start of your pregnancy through delivery and beyond, our highly skilled medical staff will give you and your baby all the personal attention and care you need. And, at Arkansas Methodist, we are pleased to offer a Women's Services Educator who specializes in prenatal education to include childbirth preparation, breastfeeding and infant safety as well as lactation services that include inpatient and outpatient consultations. Pat Dennis, RN, BSN, IBCLC is certified as a lactation consultant, lamaze childbirth educator and a child passenger safety technician
