John's Drywall

My husband hired him to work on a 12x12 room to put drywall on walls and ceilings for today June 30/08. So he said he will get to my house @ 8am. I live in South Pasadena, my house is in Tujunga under construction. So @ 7:15am I grabbed the 4 month old baby, got in the car and head out to Tujunga; got there @ 7:30am to meet with him @ 8am. 8...9 came around no Juan. Called him on his cell and house phones FOUR TIMES, left messages, BUT NO CALL BACK. Called my husband, he called him for another 7 times. He didnt pick up, no call back. Then he finally got him and he said he had probs with his truck. WHATEVER. Juan said will be there @ 11am.



11AM came around and no Juan. THEN, 1 pm!! Five hours after he was suppose to meet me @ the house, he came and said he had probs w/ truck. CAN YOU BELIEVE HE STILL WANTED THE JOB? He wanted $500 cash to buy the materials. Did he think I will be stupid enough to give him $500 after SHOWING UP 5hours late!!?? HA! No way, Juan (Jose!)! How can I trust this man with one penny after that?



I told him I got someone else...and he just turned around and left without saying a word. FIRED!!
