Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Panama City Beach FL

The walls, furniture are filthy. It looks like a motel 6. Difficult to find. I'm surprised about the way this place looks since it is a Wyndham property. Find another place to stay

My boyfriend and I went to Panama City Beach(7/22/15-7/25/15) to celebrate his big 4-0! I chose this hotel b/c of the reviews and the price, even though it said that it was about 5 minutes from the beach! When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised! The first thing I noticed when I walked in, was the smell!! It smelled very fresh and clean like it was just being cleaned...which is A-ok w/me!



We arrived when they were changing shifts as told to us by one of the clerks(which was a smooth transition, not too much confusion). Our clerk was a bit non-personal and not very friendly, but not rude either, so I'll take it. We checked in and headed to our room. Now here comes the disappointment: The elevator was extremely SLOW!! And also there was a hint of a odor on the elevator(that eventually faded over time). Our room was EXTREMELY CLEAN!! The first thing I do when I get a room is check the bathroom and the bed/linens....very satisfied with our room! Throughout our stay the front desk clerks were very courteous as they greeted us on the way in and out! Also, when we checked out, Ryan(whom I told that I would leave good reviews) was friendly and made check-out a breeze!



The hotel isn't on the beach, but it's about 5 minutes from the beach and shopping, so a very convenient location!



Overall I will mos. def. recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again if I travel back to Panama City Beach!
