My husband and I recently moved to Silicon Valley after living in India for several years. We’re still learning how to cope with the initial cultural shock and exploring how to live in a way that’s very different from our lives back home. The fast-paced life here is definitely very different from what we’re used to, and we were feeling very disoriented in our first few months here. My sister recommended therapy and Dr. Azizeh was a highly-suggested expert in the area so we booked an appointment with her. She’s really helped us get acquainted with this new way of life and find a healthy balance. My husband and I are definitely feeling more in place here since we started going to therapy.

My husband and I were going through a rough patch after some traumatic life events. We were high school sweethearts and went to the same college and knew each other so long, but it was like living with a stranger. My sister suggested I try out Dr. Azizeh for one session of couple’s counseling, and my husband Paul wanted to as well. One session is all it took for us to be able to reconnect with each other.

I honestly never thought that I’d be the sort of person with relationship problems. I was the friend who gave everyone advice to begin with. So when I started dealing with random anxiety out of nowhere, I couldn’t bring myself to reach out to anyone to ask for help. I was afraid of coming off as vulnerable and weak. But I knew I needed help, so I reached out to Dr. Azizeh after a friend’s recommendation and she’s helped me work on managing my anxiety.

My partner and I of 8 years were not doing so great with after we had to do long distance for a bit. It led to us fighting constantly, living in the same house but in different rooms. Not talking, and growing apart. Eventually he came up to me and said he wants to give counseling a shot, and even though at first I was hesitant, I gave in. The first session with Dr. Rezaiyan made all the difference for me, because it wasn’t my relationship that I was struggling with, but my own anxiety issues. I look forward to going to therapy with her every week because it’s helping me deal with my relationship as well.

After 15 years of marriage, we become more of roommates instead of two people in love. We were going to call it quits but a friend recommended we work with Azizeh to get through some of the issues we were having. Azizeh made sure we were comfortable, she’s incredibly compassionate. She’s just what we needed.

Not going to lie, 3 months into our marriage, we didn’t think we were going to make it. We’re an interracial couple and we really struggled at the beginning. Azizeh’s cross-cultural couple’s therapy helped us get past our differences.

As a single dad I struggled to balance my work and home life. My kids blamed for coming in between them and their mother. Thanks to Azizeh’s family mediation sessions we were able to speak about things openly. My ex and I now share a healthier relationship and my kids can see their mom over the weekends.

After 11 years of marriage people tend to take their spouses for granted. Azizeh helped us reignite our lost spark. Marriage is hard work but when both partners are willing to put in the effort, you’re sure to find happiness with one another.

My husband’s job always came before his family. I was this close to calling quits. Through our couple’s counseling sessions with Azizeh we’re finally communicating openly. We’ve managed to set goals and work towards them as a couple.

My boyfriend and I are from different cultures. We’ve always had a very smooth relationship but a few months ago, we got engaged and started talking about our cultural differences that may affect our relationship in the long-run. I was too ashamed even to consider going to a sex therapist. I didn’t even know they existed. It was only when I confided in a friend about my problems that he referred me to Azizeh—and I’m glad she did! Azizeh was a blessing in disguise, and I’m happily on the bend now.
