Have to say not impressed with this school but I guess it doesn't matter now since the school is closing. Wonder why? OH COULD IT BE BECAUSE THE INSTRUCTORS GET TO PERSONAL WITH THE STUDENTS AND LET SOME OF THEM DO WHAT THEY WON'T, WHILE OTHER ARE TRYING TO LEARN AND CAN'T. This school is a joke. Most of the instructors let students come and go they don't make them follow the rules.Also instead of teaching the instructors talk about their personal life! Who cares? No wonder why not many people sign up for this school anymore, because it's not a collage once again instructors should not be friends with the students , they get paid to teach not to goof around with the students.what a joke.

Honestly I don't know where to begin. The campus director is dishonest, the teachers come and go and the schedule changes from one day to the next. It truly isn't feasible to learn all you need to know in each subject over a course of 12 weeks. Way overpriced, lot's of "pretending" during simulations due to the lack of supplies that we were grossly overcharged. No communication. Practice mannequins are falling apart. While the LPN program is shutting down, there is talks of an RN program opening up. Do yourself a favor and please look elsewhere.

A wolf in sheep clothing way overpriced and is the staple of why Obama and congress are going after private schools they will do anything to keep you and pass you to get your money they are not respected in the healthcare community and will give you subpar education and high student loans with false promises of making way more than you will be warned go to community college so you can afford to pay back your loans and have a better education with less debt and better promises of employment and more opportunities to continue on as most their credits WILL NOT transfer

I was most unfortunate to have enrolled in Med Vance Institute in Palm Springs. First of all they have NO screening services. By this I mean they allow anyone in regardless of their FELONY convictions, etc. I spent most of my time in class with a bunch of loud mouth girls that constantly threatened eachother and fought over childish things> (Is this Jr. high school or a vocational college??) The fear of being shanked in class was very real every day! The teachers had no control over the classes and the students had no respect for the teachers. The worst part was the FACT that some of the less enthusiastic students would skip classes for weeks at a time (Sememster's are just 6 short weeks and you really have to be in class every day in order to comprehend what was going on!) These students would then stroll in at semesters end and take all of the teacher's time away from those of us who were there everyday because the teacher would have to spend the class time catching them up.( They have some kind of rule there that everyone gets to learn everything even if you can't be bothered to show up for class everyday!) But of course my personal favorite was when I was in 'clinicals' where we were learning blood draw and then for our final we had to draw blood from a partner, inject a needle and give a simulated TB test. All involving sharp needles!!! The teacher, who to this day I despise (Miss B) decided to pair me up with the girl who showed up for that class on that very day. Rather than BANNING her from taking any of the finals- since she wasn't even in class they allowed her in and she was given me as her partner... Fast foward...she not only stuck me with the needle completly wrong but then got scared and pulled it out and the teacher DID NOTHING!!!! She was barley even watching, I was not allowed to say anything or Miss B would take points from my test! She (the teacher) never apologized to me for making me take a final with a moron(Charlene) and for allowing this girl to hurt me very badly! I never said anything to administration. I just wanted to hurry up and get out of that place! Finally, I graduated in July of 2008, I have still yet to receive my DIPLOMA!!!! when I ask about it, it's on back order....for 2 years????? huh? Bottom line> DON'T GO TO MED VANCE IF YOU WANT A CAREER THEY ARE A JOKE I WOULDN'T RECOMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY OR BEST FRIEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
