McCracken County Attorneys Child Support Office

This business received money from my ex and is HOLDING it until they can talk to someone from MY STATE ??? Ummmm...you have my social security number, you have my court order for support, you arrested him for felony non-payment and yet you tell me over the phone you are ABSOLUTELY NOT allowed to talk to me personally at all about ANYTHING because my state sent you the request to help out since he lives there now so it's my STATES CASE ?? It's MY SONS MONEY ?? You couldn't even tell me yes it was on the way or no there is a problem...you asked me for my social so you have my info but you can't tell me if the payment is coming......this is the dumbest way to do things I have ever heard of. WOW.

The only plus to me using the child support office the past several years is that when my ex is finally working, I have more of a chance receiving the support. Other than that, this office is horrible. Good luck trying to get a case worker on the phone with any questions and a callback is highly unlikely. They're supposed to review your case every 3 mo but that's a lie bc my ex had gone 7-8 mo, numerous times, without paying and nothing was done. When I have been able to push a court date,again nothing is ever done. These guys learn the system here. They can skip their payments and when they finally get taken to court all they have to do is ask for more time or be prepared to make a small payment that day. The courts see it as they'd rather not lock them up bc then there's no way they can pay their child support, even though they're not paying regardless. Worst system I've ever dealt with. I've been calling for over a week now and can't speak to my "case worker" to find out where 2 payments, that I've seen on my ex's check stub, have gone to. They're just floating around out there in the clouds while my child goes without. Ridiculous! They're supposed to be a civil servant working for the children of the county. I've never had them put the priority of my child 1st.
