General Info
Ideal Reel Company was founded in 1953 by George and Dixie Beiderwell to sell the Ideal Tie Wire Reel. The Ideal Reel is a tie wire dispenser worn on a belt by iron workers to dispense tie wire for tying steel reinforcement for concrete work. The company was purchased from Mr. Beiderwell in 1985 by three employees: Wayne McKenzie, Betty Fowler and Lynda Cochrum. Today the company is owned by Wayne McKenzie. Ideal Reel Company still produces and sells the Ideal Tie Wire Reel as well as tie wire and has added other related items such as mechanic's wire, primary electrical wire ( automotive ), 2 lb. spools of mig welding wire and 10 lb. Pay-Out-Paks.The types of wire offered has also grown to a selection of black annealed, galvanized, stainless steel, monel, PVC-coated steel, and copper-covered steel. The wire is put up on plastic spools ( 2 lb. or 5 lb. ) or into coils ( 3 1/2 lb. or 10 lb. ). The products sold by Ideal Reel Company are sold throughout the world.Any place where wire is applied and tied, when a worker feeds wire from an Ideal Reel, he completes a job faster, as much as 25% faster. The worker's morale is high because he's not burdened with a cumbersome, tiresome, old-fashioned method. He's not tired out - he's happier because he's doing a better job in less time. You are happier because you are saving time while you are cutting costs. The Ideal Reel has been proven to be the fastest and most economical way to apply and tie wire. It puts an end to costly wire waste. The Ideal Reel actually permits from 30 to 40% more usage per pound of wire, which comes to you pre-coiled in 3 1/2 pound rolls ( 2 lb. and 5 lb. rolls available for mechanic's wire ). Refills are inserted in seconds. The smooth flow of wire from a compact, light-weight Ideal Reel, worn conveniently from a safety or utility belt, protects eyes from dangerous flying-wire ends. Infectious cuts and scratches to the face, neck and shoulders are also avoided. The Ideal Reel prevents perilous falls often caused by wire catching on protruding objects and with the Ideal Reel, there are no more loose coils of wire underfoot to trip over.
