terrible service

The cable on our television goes out on a reg basis and when you call they say oh, that area is having a prob. I've never heard of a cable service that has so many problems. I also have the internet service and it doesn't always connect either. I wish I had know all this before I went through this. I am currently looking for another provider. I would suggest you do the same.

lying about prices to get your business

i have had cable with chater for about two years and i just recently put my internet, phone, and cable in their so called"bundle" when i ordered their"bundle" i made the guy give me the exact amount that would be due on my first bill.he tols me it would be$134.76. i told him he needed to understand that i had to know the exact amount, taxes, fees, everything b/c i am on a fixed income. i stressed this many times to him and told him i couldn't pay a high payment.so, he gave me a conformation number to make me feel beter about the new services. i got my bill about a week ago and the amount due is $247.95. so, i called 1-888-get charter. i explained what had happened and i had a conformation number saying the amount i was quoted. they told me there was nothing they could do except say we apologize but you were quoted the wrong amount. even with the conformation number they wouldn't let me make payments. i wanted to pay a bit a month and pay that off before the next month is due. they threatened to terminated services. so, the only thing i can do is let them come get their routers and try to figure out before they come. i have a 11 year old daughter and a 14 year old son. they have to have internet to acess information for school every day.most of their homework and all of their projects are done online. both are in advanced placement. their homework involves hours of research on the internet. what made me the madest was they didn't care about the amount quoted with a conformation number. i talkedd to the highest ranked person you can reach and they just said sorry for the misunderstanding. i have mailed a letter with a copy of my bill and the conformation number hoping they might do something.by the time they get it, my services will be terminated. every person i have ever talked to is very rude like you are putting them out by calling them.. they could have met me half way. they also told me the guy i ordered from would be fired. i told them not to fire him b/c it is thier "policy" to choose an amount they want to.when everything was installed ( 3 different crews) were very rude and snappy. even to my son b/c he asked how the land lind worked.
