This place is horrid. I came to get crochet braids done, and they said that they had someone to do them for me, Me and my mother should have known to leave when it took the stylist over 2 HOURS to get there. (I had a nice long nap though) But me needing to get my hair done ASAP (I had a school trip a day after) and my cursed trait of being optimistic and really really nice, we stayed.

When the lady finally arrived another woman sat me down to have my hair cornrowed. The lady just messed around with my cornrows and they were not done well at all. So the lady started to crochet my hair and she just used up all the hair on random places, such as putting a lot of hair on one spot and not on others, even though she assured my mom that they wouldn't use all the hair.

I wasn't even able to see her doing my hair as I was turned away from the mirror.

When my mom came back she was horrified. The hair was boofed out like a puff ball in some places and it looked terrible. When my mom pulled up my hair you could tell that she messed up as there were very visible GAPS in my hair (meaning no crochet just cornrow) my mom was very upset and the stylists argued with her, trying to make her pay full price. Me, being only a teen I didn't understand what they meant because I don't know hair too well and couldn't even see it myself. It made me embarrassed because I know I've had my hair done there before and it didn't end up this way (Possibly change of staff since the shop looked very different than it used to) My mother just ended up paying about 75 for what rachet mess they did and we will never go there again and neither should anyone else. THE PICTURES THEY HAVE ON THEIR WEBSITE IS FAKE AS WELL!

I've been getting Senegalese twists installed by several different stylists for over 10 years, this shop has by far been the WORST experience. The first time I came in I asked for medium sized Senegalese twists. I even showed the stylist, Fatima, a photo to refer to the exact size I was asking for. She turned me away from any mirrors so I could not see her the entire time, however, she held up a mirror to see the first few twists she installed. I asked her to re-do what she showed me due to them looking very rigid and rushed. Even after re-doing one of them I still felt that they didn't look or feel neat and told her I'd rather leave. She as well as her co-workers insisted I stay and allow her to finish promising neatness and that she would take her time. She showed me again what she had re-done and they seemed to be neat and of the right size. She started with the front row of my hair, which I thought was odd, and ask that I craned my neck to the left for an entire hour! Nevertheless, she finished my hair in about 5 hours. Again no mirrors, not even in their bathroom (also odd). When I got up to look at my hair I was horrified. My twists were JUMBO size and the parts were tiny so you can imagine how much hair was toppled on my head. The twists were so large they sat on top of my head with the appearance of a helmet. I expressed my concern immediately at which point I was asked to give them a day to lay. It was 11:30 at night and I was way too tired to argue. I called the very next day to reiterate how disappointed I was and was told by Fatima I could come in two more days to have them redone. I instead came in the next day to ask that my hair be redone altogether or reimbursed the $180 I paid. Fatima jumped up and snatched a comb and became very aggressive yelling at me to sit down so that she could take them out now. When I asked to speak to the owner Rebecca, another stylist stepped in and took me outside. She told me she would redo my hair the following day and assured me I'd be satisfied. When I took out the twists Fatima did my hair was very dry and sticky. I asked what product was put in my hair and was told they used JAM as their twisting product. Big NO. I asked that Rebecca NOT use this product on my hair because it is not a healthy twisting product. Although Rebecca was very sweet and really did try her best to redeem the shop, I am still left feeling extremely dissatisfied and in the process of taking the twists out 2 weeks later. She made them very very tiny in the front and medium in the back, a lot of the ends have unravelled, and the roots are also becoming unravelled or extremely loose due to how poorly they were installed. I WARN all women who want their twists done in a professional and healthy setting and manner STAY FAR away. The worst braiding salon in this area by far.

Beware at the end results never look like pictures

This place can't do marley braids right. My braids was so big you couldn't see my scalp or put it in any style not even a bun that was $200 waisted. They can't even do two strand twist big parts I had like 26 twist in my head for natural hair I was so upset that cost me $50 and they told me to have a full look it was going to be $80 and up. I really don't recommend this place unless you want to throw money away .
