Dr. Allam, who was in the top 5% of his medical school class, moved to Owosso, MI in 1989 and has served in several different leadership capacities at Memorial Healthcare, including Chairman of the Department of Medicine, Chairman of the Critical Care Committee, Director of the Critical Care Unit, member of the Executive Committee, Respiratory Department Director, Sleep Disorder Director, and Director of In-Patient Management Services. In 2006, Dr. Allam moved Owosso Medical Group from the Memorial Healthcare facility to the new campus at 200 Health Park Drive. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, riding bicycles, and spending time with his family.
Emergency Care
Eric received his training at the University of Texas - MD Anderson Cancer Center where he studied cancer biology and Western Michigan University achieving his Masters in Medicine. He started his PA career in pulmonary, sleep, and critical care medicine in 2002 with Pulmonary Services, PC in Lansing and became a hospitalist PA for Sparrow Hospital in 2010. He has experience working part-time in Urgent Care and Subacute rehab medicine as well. He has become a leader in his field as the Senior Lead APP with Sparrow, APP representative for Central Peer Review/Quality Committee, APP Compensation Committee, and a leader in the utilization and privilege advancement of APPs at Sparrow Hospital. Eric has 4 children. He enjoys skiing, soccer, hiking, and time with family.

Internal Medicine
Dr. Azmy Allam, a graduate of the Cairo Medical School in Cairo, Egypt, has been practicing medicine in the United States since 1984. Dr. Allam completed his residency in internal medicine at the Downstate Medical Center in New York from 1984 through 1986. He completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at the Downstate Medical Center from 1987 to 1989 and is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Jeffrey Messenger is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Prior to his six years as the preeminent Dermatology expert at Memorial Healthcare's Durand location, he spent one year of private practice in Lansing, did a three-year residency specializing in Dermatology, and one year of internal medicine at Wayne State University from which he graduated in 1981. He is also a graduate of The University of Michigan in 1977.
