I will add another unsatisfactory experience to this list. I moved to the area in 2013 and needed a new optometrist, got an exam which was fine, the Dr seemed to be great. The staff wanted to tell me what I wanted for glasses instead of listening to what I wanted. I was told multiple times by the Dr and the Staff that the lenses could be replaced for any reason for free during the first year. When I had paid for the glasses ans went back to pick them up.. the staff did their best to ignore me and did not fit the glasses to my face. I had issues with the lenses that persisted for several weeks, my eyes were strained and tired all the time. I contacted the practice to ask for new lenses and was told to wait another few weeks - well, months later when I finally got back to them I was told it was too late, even though it was within the year. They lied to me multiple times about their free lens replacement guarantee and then would not come through when I needed them replaced, I would not even go back to them when my very expensive frames broke - probably because i was pushing my glasses around to try to make them straight on my face. So I waited out my insurance and went to a different optometrist - and found that the prescription I was given was all screwed up. Maybe with my new glasses my eyes won't be so tired and hard to focus. I cannot recommend this practice to anyone because of their dishonest practices and what seems to be a totally wrong prescription that was given to me.

OMG, FOUR! Re-do's for a basic O.D _.o25 and O.S.-1.oo. Very basic prescription sunglasses. After bringing them in yet again because the frame was pinching the lenses and causing visual distortion. 3 Weeks and they are still not back. Will never use this service again, and will be changing ophthalmologists. I am a world recognized professional photographer, so if there is an issue with a lens, I know it. The polarizing coating is hazy and distorted. Plus the basic G-15 lenses don't match. When I pay this kind of money I expect professional results. Too many issues, excuses, and time wasted. As Melvin F., reviewed, save your sanity and stay away!

To preserve your sanity, avoid the Optical Shoppe at Crossroads like the plague. I should have realized something was wrong when I first stepped in there. I knew exactly which glasses I wanted, so there wasn't much for them to do besides writing it up. Nevertheless, Vicky had me wait there for a half hour before dealing with me. A woman she apparently knew came in while I was sitting there, and she even took care of her before me.

When I ordered eyeglasses at any other store, it has always taken 5-7 days for them to come in. This place took two weeks. When they finally arrived, it took an unbelievable amount of time for them to fit the frame properly. Watching her do it, you would think she was doing it for the first time. When I told her that one side was lower, she bent the temple like an arc. I don't know where she sees people wearing misshapen glasses like that. All the bending she did probably caused a lot of structural weakness to the frames.

When I stepped outside, I immediately realized the anti reflective coating I had paid $120 for was not there. They initially denied it, but after persisting, they admitted that the lenses were not coated. They blamed it on the lab. I was forced to leave the glasses with them to replace the lenses. It took three weeks for them to prepare the glasses.

When I picked them up, there was a scratch on one of the lenses. It took another two weeks or so for them to replace the lens. They attached the lenses at weird angles, and scratches the frame near the lens while replacing them.

Not wanting to deal with them further, I contacted my credit card. The store delayed their response for as long as Visa permitted them to. They finally responded that I needed to provide a third opinion letter from another store. I had many college tests during the two weeks I was given to obtain the letter, so I was only able to try getting a letter from one store. Understandably, although they acknowledged the obvious damage to the frame, they refused to get involved in another store's affairs. After the two weeks, the case was closed.

I am now left with a pair of damaged glasses that I paid almost $450 for. Do not go to the Optical Shoppe at Crossroads unless you have plenty of time and money to waste. If you are a college student like me, the kind of situation they create is extremely frustrating. When you need functioning glasses for exams, are on a budget, and need every spare second to study, dealing with this store is impractical. If they remedy the situation, I will update my review.
