I had a very different experience with One Main compared to any other loan process I've ever been through. I had all my information turned in, just had to pick out a vehicle. I ran probably 2 dozen VIN numbers trying to find something that would work either private party or dealership.

At the end of it all, I did find the right vehicle but I feel the need to make this review to save others the headaches I dealt with over the last 2 months (yes it has legit been a 2 month process).

1 - DO NOT APPLY UNTIL YOU HAVE A VEHICLE SELECTED. This was the biggest portion that ate away ALOT time. Have a solid 3-5 vehicles already picked out when you do the preapproval. (you will need VIN numbers and exact miles)

2 - Your vehicle can be private party HOWEVER, the seller MUST meet at the location you apply at. Make sure the party is willing to go to the location to complete the sale and receive a check.

3 - One Main bases values on BlackBook, NOT KELLY BLUE BOOK. KBB has been inaccurate for quite some time as it is, but do your research on the vehicles value and try to find something under NADA, that will be closer to BlackBook.

High interest rate but nothing I haven't seen before offered at some dealerships and banks.
