The Catfish Joint

We love the "Mom & Pop" restaurants and Catfish Joint is atop of our list with no doubt. The food makes you remanise about your Mom and Grandma's home cooking, but with a twist of class and delicacy. Quaint little place that lets you have a nice conversation with your dinner companion. Love, love, love

I can seriously not believe how good this place is. Driving back to downtown from Lowe's my husband and I passed the place and as usual said - "we have to try that place one day"...well today was the day and we were both blown away as was my mother who we got a piece of Flounder. We had gator tail, catfish, flounder, scallops, onion rings, collard greens and fried okra because we figured let's try it all since we are here. There wasn't one thing that was not fabulous. With the exception of a handful of places, Orlando hasn't exactly been a great or even good culinary experience for me so this was a very pleasant surprise. The girl behind the counter was super nice and helpful, it appears to maybe be family run? All I know is it was absolutely delicious and we are already making plans to go back with friends. Let me also mention it was quint and clean inside. Wow!
