Docherty, Gloria OD

I have been seeing Dr. Docherty for several years, and have had nothing but great experiences. I have worn both contacts and glasses and have never had a problem with any of the products I have received. I trust the advice she gives me and have recommended her to many friends and relatives. She seems to truly care that I get the best vision possible every time.

Gloria Docherty tries to sell you the most expensive products, even when they are unnecessary. She does not like to be asked questions, and she is very unhelpful after your doctor appointment is over. I tried to contact her a week after our appointment, but she was "too busy" to speak with me. Very unsatisfied!!

I just wanted to take a minute to say how pleased I am with Orland Eyeworks and Dr. Docherty and staff. I have had a number of different eye doctors fit me with contacts but about a week or two into wearing them they were not the right fit. Trying to get back in touch with them to change was a nightmare. I have to say very satisfied with this practice. The Stafff couldn't be more helpful and pleasant. Dr. Gloria the same. Most of all I am happy to say I can see well now. I highly recommend this office. My entire family goes here now. My daughter who couldn't put contacts in because other offices wouldn't take the time to teach her, thanks to the staff she can now wear contacts and feel confident. Thanks so much to Dr. Docherty and her staff.

I feel like I was taken advantage of, they advertised "FREE" consultation for Lasik proceedure, when finished with the consult, they said I owed $75.00 for an eye exam that I was never told, and did not need. Even when I filled out the papers, no where did I sign for any type of service fees, as again I stress, when I made the appointment no "fees" of any kind were disclosed to me. To this day I am still being billed for this unauthorized fee. Do not use this Free consult....they totally mis represented their service.

HotMama, your opinion and experiences are just that, your opinion and experiences. OE is expensive, even with insurance, to me! Many of us still have out-of-pocket expenses. Insurance only covers so much. OE never offer any type of specials. Even a high-end lofty eye center downtown have exam/lense specials. The staff is professional and the service is excellent. However, in this taxing economy they have only gotten even more expensive! You telling people to get jobs with insurance and get their facts straight, is just plain stupid! You don't know what others' economical or benefit situation is.

Dr. Docherty is great, but the staff is disappointing.

The office staff is terrible and the service they provide is horrible. They are rude and don't know how their computer system works. The examination equipment is also outdated and some of it doesn't work properly. I would highly recommend going somewhere else.

I agree regarding their pricing. Their frames are extremely expensive, they only use the best products. The service is excellent, in my opinion. Their technical equipment is up to par and the optical representative/technicians are well informed and very kind.

They are aresome, been going there for years...Dr Docherty is the best, not over priced, but I have insurance, so people who complain about the prices go get a job that has eye insurance... you get what you pay for, dont by the coach glasses if you dont have the money, oh and by the way, the people in that office do not get offended, I have know them for a long time and they are always understanding...get your facts straight or go to lens crafters!!!

Very disapointing. Overpriced on everything from services to frames. They act offended when you decide not to buy their products
