Dr's Lake Automotive

The steering rack (a part that enables you to steer the car) needed replacement. Dr Lake replaced it on time and for the price they promised. Three months down the road I had my tires rotated and the guy at Firestone mentioned that my steering rack boots were split. The steering rack boots are part of the steering rack that keeps dust, dirt, sand, and water away from the rack. They are important. The mechanic at Drs Lake cut the boots, took out the inner tie rods, installed the rack, and then put the inner tie rods back in. You can do it that way and save yourself time and you will not need an assistant to help guide the steering rack into place. The bad part is you have to cut the boot. This is fast, cheap, and bad, bad, bad mechanic work. It really show these guys do not do quality work at all. Look elsewhere for a mechanic, they take shortcuts that results in repairs that do not last. (Lawyer clause) This is my personal opinion and should not be deemed as a statement of fact.

TRUSTWORTHY! And a great mechanic. My brakes were making a terrible sound and my husband was away on business...I just knew I needed hundreds of dollars of brake work...took the vehicle to Eduardo. He said it was only dirt in my tires and cleaned it out...NO CHARGE. He easily could have taken advantage of the situation, but this man not only has skill, he has integrity. We always take our vehicles to Eduardo...Lost touch for a few years...but so glad we found his new location. No other mechanic will ever touch our vehicles. If you are looking for someone who will do good work at a reasonable price, and someone who will do only what is needed without suggesting unnecessary costly repairs, (if Eduardo suggests it, you can feel confident that it is something you really do need), then you have found the place at Dr's Lake Automotive.
