I recently went to Omaha Furniture in Omaha Illinois and purchased a twin bed headboard and frame. Once I got it home, realized that the bed wasn't sturdy enough for my son, so I took back just the headboard wanting a refund back. Once I walked in the store and told them what I wanted they looked at me as if I had horns growing out of my head. The lady that owns the store said that she couldn't refund my money because I had used a debit card and that she would give me in-store credit. I told her that I didn't want in-store credit and that I wanted my money back. She said again that she couldn't credit a debit card. I told her that was fine, that cash would be acceptable. She very hesitantly went a wrote a check for the refunded amount but was very rude about the whole deal. The man behind the counter (a salesman for the place) said that she never refunds money back unless the purchase is brought back 2 days after the initial purchase. I had bought it one week to the day and hour. I explained to him that I work until 5 p.m. and living about 40 minutes from the store it wasn't possible for me to get there to return it any sooner since they close at 5. UGH!! What a joke!! I will never shop at this furniture store ever again and will advise all my friends to do the same, unless you want a run-around.
