Even if they couldn't stand to print "his husband," there were alternatives like "his partner," "his long-time companion," or even "his best friend."

The paper chose instead to erase the man completely, showing great disrespect not only to him, but also to the memory of the deceased person.

The editor should be profoundly ashamed of this horrid behavior.
