The Beachwood Motel

My friends and I were targeted from the beginning. We reserved the room and the owner instantly said this is not a party motel. My friends and I are between the ages of 24 and 30 and are not loud at all. We wanted a vacation away from everyday life. We booked the room anyway because it was 4th of July weekend. I asked if there was any other charge for additional people to stay. He said no. So we had 6 people in the room which online says fits 5. 2 of my friends went to join me in the pool and a woman started asking them what room they were in. She didnt even have a shirt on that said she worked there and my friends gave her an attitude because they didnt know who she was. She just asked what room we were in. We told her the room and then a man came over and said he only knew of 4 people staying in that room. I explained that I asked about the additional charge for other people and he said that we couldnt fit more than 4 people when online it says 5. They then said to get out of the pool and were rude. Again, we did nothing wrong. We explained the situation and the owner said it was ok and he would let it "slide". First of all we did nothing wrong and second of all, who are they to target just us in the pool when others were around? Im sure they dont know every guest there. 2 young kids tried to get into the pool and didnt stay at the hotel and the woman again asked what room they were in. Just very unprofessional. Wear shirts that say the name of your hotel. They walked around like it was their palace and we were intruding. We paid them a lot of money to stay there and will never give them the time of day again. Same goes along to every person we know who plans to go up to OOB for a vacation. We didnt even enjoy ourselves because we were targeted. After the fireworks display, the owner went around to everyone and said to be quiet. It was 1030 at night and 4th of July weekend...we werent even loud. The neighbors downstairs were up all night until 4am loud and drinking and were never spoken too...maybe because they were older than 40?



The place was beautiful dont get me wrong. Very nice place and right on the beach, but we felt like we were on a school trip and watched the whole time or at camp. How can we enjoy vacation like that. The neighbors to our right felt the same way.
